After Rose had taken Mickey to find a room and Sarah Jane had left, the Doctor set the Tardis to drift in the vortex and went for a walk. He went to the garden they were in a few days ago and just sat there staring at the mountains for awhile, upset with himself, thinking about what he was going to say to her. He was thinking so hard he didn't realise that due to his heightened emotions and how much he thought these thoughts, he had accidentally projected every single one to Kyraiah.
She was in her room seeing all these thoughts in her head and realised he didn't realise he was doing it. So she got up and opened her door, but went back to sit on her bed and finish her sketch she was doing in class. She had almost finished filling in the colour.Everything was black, white and grey except for the Doctor and Rose which she filled in, flaring out the colours slightly make them look like they were glowing. It showed how much they really meant to her. She planned to give it to her dad when it was done, she had one for Rose too, that one was of the three of them laying in the apple grass in New New York, and was done similar style.
After a couple hours thinking the Doctor has figured out what he was going to say. He walked towards his daughters room and saw the door was now open, earlier it was closed. She was laid on her bed, watching the ceiling. There was moving galaxies on it, they hadn't been there the other day so she must have asked the Tardis for help.
Knocking brought her eyes away from the ceiling and saw her dad at the door, so she just scooted over on the bed so he could sit down. He did and opened his mouth to tell her what she already knew.
"Dad I know, you were thinking really loud and with your emotions sort of all over the place, you sent everything you thought about to me."
"I'm sorry little one. I mean that, I didn't mean it how it sounded and I know you've heard me think it but I need to say it. I'm not leaving you anywhere. Things are different with Rose though and that's the way I meant." He told her.
"By different you mean you like her, romantically. Don't deny it, even a blind man could see it." She said when he opened his mouth to deny it and promptly closed it again. She was right.
"Don't worry dad I get it, I was just scared. And I also won't tell Rose how you feel."
He was so happy they found her and that she understood him. So he did what he knew she needed, he got up held up a hand for her to grab. She took it and furrowed her brows. He led her silently to the kitchen and made her a Black Forest hot chocolate in her favourite flask and handed it to her. He also grabbed some snacks and a flask of tea for himself, then took her hand again.
They went to small theatre room that had been made when she had arrived. When they first found her, she hadn't seen many movies and Rose decided that she should be able to watch whatever she liked. She has instantly fallen in love with many Disney films but her favourite thing was Harry Potter. There was only technically four out in Roses time so they only watched up to there. There was a new one coming out in a few months so when it came out they would watch that too. The Doctor went to put the first one in but Ky stopped him and shook her head.
She didn't want to watch that this time. No this time she wanted to see a Disney marathon, starting with Snow White.
The Doctor sat on the sofa with his legs across it and she curled up on his chest, he stroked her hair. Like a small child would.
About five or six movies in she drifted off to sleep. So he asked the Tardis to turn it all off whilst he carried her to her room and tucked her into bed. She looked very small and young curled up under the covers.
He wondered about what would have happened if he found he back on Gallifrey, abandoned and alone, when everyone else had someone. Would he have taken her in then, and he realised that yes he would have. No one should be alone, let alone grow up alone.
"I'm never leaving you, little one.
You'll never have to be alone again. Love you Princess." He whispered and kissed her forehead and silently left the room closing the door behind him.
"Never leaving you alone I promise." He said aloud as he walked to the console room.
