"Oh, that's why it chose this place. Tommy?" The Doctor said expanding on his daughter's point, after seeing her look at him.
"What are you going to do?" The boy looked at the pair.
"We're going shopping." Both Timelords said turning going back into the shop.
A little while later, the three manage to get nearly all of the stuff they needed, bar one part.
Tommy finds a big valve and turns to the pair holding it up. "Is this what you want?"
"Perfect! Right, I need one more thing." The Doctor says as he gives all the parts to the boy and runs back outside with the two youngsters following him. To the Tardis.
Outside the Tardis, Ky and Tommy wait for the Doctor.
"Ky what is this thing?" Tommy asks looking at the blue box.
"Home" is all the redhead replies with a smile on her face. Tommy never gets to ask what she means, as the Doctor come barrelling out the door.
"Got it. Let's go." He announces as he rushes off again.
On the way down the roads, all three running, as both Timelords put together the machine. It was a sight to see, if there were people about they'd probably laugh. Tommy running in between them as they put bits of the machine together, occasionally throwing bits back and forth to each other.
Eventually, they arrive at Alexandra Palace and Tommy notices Mr Magpie on the tower. Pointing upwards the boy shouts to the other two. "There!"
"Come on!" The Doctor shouts, the two youngsters running after him. on the way through the gates a guard tries to stop them. "Wait, wait, wait! Where do you think..." he starts but never finishes his sentence as The Doctor shows him his psychic paper.
"Oh! I'm very sorry, sir. Shouldn't you be at the Coronation?" The guard says to him after seeing it.
"They're saving me a seat." The Doctor shouts back as he rounds a corner.
"Who did he think you were?" The brown-haired boy asked the Timelord.
"King of Belgium, apparently." The Timelord replied looking at his psychic paper, as they continued to run to the control room.
"Oh, does that make me a princess now?" The redhead telepathically asked her father. With a shake of his head and a chuckle, he thought back to her, "You always have been to me, little one. My precious daughter, my darling princess." the girl just smiles shyly at her father and he smiles back, with the human boy looking between them confused.
Once inside the control room, the Doctor put the completed machine on the table. "Keep this switched on. Don't let anyone stop you, Tommy. Everything depends on it. You understand? Ky, you help him, careful little one" He says as he takes a coil of copper wire and goes to leave. On his way out though, he kissed the top of his daughter's head, it's an unexpected gesture for both of them. Sure he had done it many times in the Tardis, but never outside whilst they were mid saving the world. He couldn't help himself this time though, the wire had nearly taken her face twice so far, she would have ended up just like Rose, and whilst Rose losing her face had motivated him to sort this, if Ky had lost hers too he would have lost it. Just he nearly had every time he had thought he had lost her.
"Me? Be careful? I think I should be the one telling you that. But really dad, be careful, I don't think I can do this without you." the redhead replied to him, the beginning of tears gathering in her eyes. The idea of losing him was too much to handle. She had been alone once, it was not something she ever wanted to be again.
