The age of steel part two

Ky suddenly sprints into view, tear tracks down her face but a menacing look in her eye.
"We can mourn him when London is safe. But now, we move on." Ky says darkly.
"Where were you? What happened? I thought Mickey left you to the Cybermen." The Doctor says as he looks her over and hugs her quickly, quicker than he would have liked but she pulled away.
"I'm fine. The Cybermen aren't about to be though." Is all she says as she runs off.

Opposite Battersea Power Station, the group, minus Mrs Moore, looks on. "The whole of London's been sealed off, and the entire population's been taken inside that place. To be converted." The Doctor says.
"We've got to get in there and shut it down." Rose says obviously.
"How do we do that?" Mickey asks. Ky remains quiet thinking about ways in and what she's going to do when she gets in there.
"Oh, I'll think of something." The Doctor nonchalantly replies.
"You're just making this up as you go along." Mickey states.
"Yep. Of course he is. But he likes to think he does it brilliantly." Ky says, her voice monotone and without any emotion. The Doctor just gives a smile and shrugs. She wasn't wrong.

Later, Mrs Moore has joined them and is using her Cybus Industries laptop. "That's a schematic of the old factory. Look. Cooling tunnels underneath the plant. Big enough to walk through" she says.
"We go under there and up into the control centre?" The Doctor asks her. "Mmm." Is all she responds.

"There's another way in. Through the front door. If they've taken Jackie for upgrading, that's how she'll get in." Pete says telling everyone.
"We can't just go strolling up." Jake points out.
"Or we could, with these. Fake ear pods. Dead. No signal. But put them on, the Cybermen would mistake you for one of the crowd." Mrs Moore says with two pairs of EarPods in her hand.
Pete takes a pair and says, "Then that's my job."
"You'd have to show no emotion. None at all. Any sign of emotion would give you away." The Doctor tells him and he nods slightly.
"How many of those you got?" Rose asks her.
"Just two sets."
"Okay. If that's the best way of finding Jackie, then I'm coming with you." Rose says taking the pair.
"Why does she matter to you?" He asks her.
"We haven't got time. Doctor, Raiah, I'm going with him, and that's that." Rose says to them, Ky just nods at her in understanding and the Doctor says, "No stopping you, is there?"
"No."
He nods and comes up with another plan. "Tell you what. We can take the ear pods at the same time. Give people their minds back so they don't walk into that place like sheep. Jakey-boy? Lumic's transmitting the control signal. It must be from over there." As he says this Ky takes out her sonic screwdriver and points it towards the power station. The Zeppelin is parked on top, with a circle of red lights blinking on its bow, or stern.

"There it is. On the zeppelin, you see? Great big transmitter. Good thing Lumic likes showing off. Reckon you could take it out?" The male Timelord says, seeing as his daughter seems to have retreated into herself slightly.
"Consider it done." Jake says to him. Ky looks at Jake and he nods at her and she nods back. She was intending to go with him and he agreed to it.
"Mrs Moore, would you care to accompany me into the cooling tunnels?" The Doctor asks her.
"How could I refuse an offer of cooling tunnels?" The woman in question says to him.
"We attack on three sides. Above, between, below. We get to the control centre, we stop the conversion machines." The Timelord declares.
"What about me?" Mickey asks him.
"Mickey. You can er..." the Doctor says trying to think of something.
"What, stay out of trouble? Be the tin dog? No, those days are over. I'm going with Jake." He says turning to the pair.
"We don't need you, idiot." Jake says to him. Mickey can't understand how he can hate him so much when he doesn't Ky. But then he realises he has the same face as his dead friend. Ky just keeps quiet not saying anything to defend him, like she usually would, then he realises something else, he left her behind when he ran to the group.
"We?" The Doctor and Rose ask, who was we, they thought.
"I'm not an idiot! You got that? I'm offering to help." Mickey says turning to him.
"Whatever."
"Mickey. Good luck." The doctor tells him.
"Yeah, you too. Rose, I'll see you later." Mickey says turning to his ex.
"Yeah, you'd better." Is all she can respond.
"If we survive this, I'll see you both back at the Tardis." The Doctor tells the male. Mickey and Jake start to walk towards the zeppelin.
"That's a promise."
"I'm going with Jake and Mick." Ky says, shocking the Doctor and Rose slightly. She had barely spoke but now she had and she wasn't going with her father.
"Anyway I can get you to change to your mind? Anything at all..." He asks and she shakes her head and says as simple, "Nope." Popping the p loudly.
"Fine..." He says and she runs after the boys. "Wait up boys." She shouts to them and both of them turn. Mickey looked shocked but Jake just smiles, he knew she would come with him, well them.
The redhead just runs and grabs Mickeys hand then they both turn to see the Doctor hug Rose.
"What are you to together or something?" Jake asks the close friends.
"No, but I'm sorry I thought you might want something that can take out a Cyberman." Ky tells him as she lets her body glow and her eyes shine.
"Good point." He says from the other side of Ky. Mickey realises this is the second person to ask him this and wonders whether it's a sign.
