Very oddly, Rose's phone rings, despite them already discovering that it wasn't working here. Answering the phone very apprehensively, Rose didn't say anything but that didn't stop a very disturbing voice from saying something on the other end, "He is awake." With this, all three decided they needed to take a look around and find some kind of information on what was going on around here.

The three made their way to Ood habitation, where they found Danny working. "Evening." The Doctor greeted the long-haired man. "Only us." The blonde said, with Ky giving a small wave. "The mysterious trio. How are you, then? Settling in?" Danny said to them, and he even gave a small wave to the quiet redhead, He couldn't not, she was different and if someone waved at you it was only polite to wave back. "Yeah. Sorry, straight to business, the Ood how do they communicate? I mean, with each other." The Doctor said, somewhat because he wasn't fond of people taking an interest in his little princess but also because they needed information, and they needed it fairly quickly.

"Oh, just empaths. There's a low-level telepathic field connecting them. Not that that does them much good. They're basically a herd race. Like cattle." Danny told him, hearing him talk about a race like this made Ky scrunch her face up. No race deserves to be treated like this. It's thinking like that, that leads to mass genocide or war. In her head thinking like that was not far from the Dalek's thinking or way of life. The Ood are sitting on benches down below Danny's catwalk.

"This telepathic field. Can it pick up messages?" The Doctor asked the male, also not liking his thought process either but not as strongly as Ky. He knew the human psyche better than his daughter, he had met many more than her and most of the ones she had met were not the finest of the species.

"Because I was having dinner, and one of the Ood said something, well, odd." Rose told the man, which made him reply, slightly amused, "Hmm. An odd Ood."

"And then I got something else on my er, communicator thing." The blonde followed it on with. They currently seemed to be getting nowhere with answers at the moment but who knows?

"Oh, be fair. We've got whole star systems burning up around us. There's all sorts of stray transmissions. Probably nothing. Look, if there was something wrong, it would show. We monitor the telepathic field. It's the only way to look after them. They're so stupid, they don't even tell us when they're ill." "Monitor the field. That's this thing?" The make timelord asked, really trying to get some information, Ky and the Doctor looked at the screen which read basic 5.

" Yeah. But like I said, it's low-level telepathy. They only register basic five." Danny told them. The Doctor had looked away by this point looking between Danny and the Ood below, but Ky hadn't and saw the numbers begin to climb, "Well, erm that's not basic five. Ten, twenty. They've gone up to basic thirty." The redhead told him making them all look at the screen, and Ky just looked at the poor Ood, when all of a sudden they all lifted their head to look at them. "But they can't." The man in charge of them said, which is exactly when Rose too looked at the Ood and said, "Doctor, the Ood. What does basic thirty mean?" To which the human male said, "Well, it means that they're shouting, screaming inside their heads." The Doctor had other ideas though and made them clear, "Or something's shouting at them."

"But where is it coming from? What is it saying? What did it say to you?" The man asked, completely flummoxed. "Something about the beast in the pit." The Blonde replied. Now being the one trying to get more information from the strange and mysterious trio, Danny asked Rose, "What about your communicator? What did that say?"

"He is awake." Rose told him, which all the Ood then announced, "And you will worship him."

"What the hell?" Was all the human male could say. Wanting to see if they would say it again Ky said, just seconds before her father could, "He is awake." And they did, "And you will worship him."
