When they got back into the time vortex, Ky left the other two, both of them still giddy from the events of the day. She went to her room and shut the door. She never did that, so the others would know that she wanted time alone. After a while she decided to go for a walk and found herself in front of the perfect room.
Hours later The Doctor went to find her, he had seen her expression earlier and he knew that all she would want would be a cuddle from him and that would mean she'd probably fall asleep with her head on his shoulder. It was times like those that he remembered she was still a child and it was when she most acted like one. He had a feeling that even after she was supposedly an adult, by Timelord standards, she would still need those moments. She had been starved of that bond for so long that when she could she would take every moment available.
He first checked her training room, she was usually there around this amount of time after an adventure, but it was empty. The he checked her room, that was also empty. As was the pool/library and the kitchen. He knew she wouldn't be in Roses room because she had only just gone in there.
He even checked Jack's old room, he had found her sitting in there sometimes looking over some of the trinkets that were left behind when they left him behind. They were almost as close as her and Rose but there were something the Doctor knew she had spoke to Jack about and not Rose because he would understand more than she would. She wasn't there either.

He checked his own room. There had been a couple of times when she was desperately in need of comfort, and she thought he was too busy, she would go and curl up on his bed. He had told her that when ever she needed him he would drop whatever he was doing for her, but she still wouldn't do that.
After a while of aimlessly wandering, he decided to go make her a flask of her favourite hot drink, Black Forest hot chocolate. The girl was obsessed with it. When he had made that and picked up some snacks for her, he continued his search for his precious daughter.
He eventually asked the Tardis for help, the sentient machine hummed and lit up a path. He followed it to another room he had never seen. But when he opened the door he nearly dropped everything in his arms.
The room looked like a snapshot of home. A small piece of Gallifrey.
The two suns shone in the burnt orange sky. The mountains were  snow-capped slopes of red grass, and trees with bright silver leaves.
He gulped and walked forward. He found her curled up in the grass under a tree in the shade, half closed eyes looking at him.
When her eyes had finally focused on who was in front of her she smiled sadly at him. That smile was all he needed to know his daughter needed him. He put the snacks down and handed her drink without saying a thing.
As he sat down, propping his back against a tree, she took a sip of her drink and hummed a noise of happiness and approval. The Doctor chuckled at this and opened his arms for her. This was all she needed to put he drink down and crawl over to him and curl up next to him under his arm, head resting on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the crown of her head as she curled up as small as she could.
Not even ten minutes later she was fast asleep, he looked down it her and smiled. Turning away from her he looked back towards the mountains and wondered where this room had come from. He knew it wouldn't be from Kys memory, most of Gallifrey she would have seen in her short life was war torn and dull. So he knew it must have been from the memory banks of the Tardis, but did that mean this room had always been here or was it recently made. He had a feeling he would never get the answers to that. As he thought that the machine hummed at him, confirming that she wasn't going to tell him.
Sitting in the silence as his daughter slept, at some point she had basically crawled into his lap and rested her head on his chest against his hearts, the Doctor started to fall asleep. Drifting off into a dreamless sleep, he slept the best he had in a long while.
The Tardis, being the best ship that there could ever be, created a blanket and covered them both with it.

The next morning, when rose woke she couldn't find either Timelord so she asked the Tardis for help. She obliged and led Rose to the two still sleeping Timelords in the Gallifrey room. Looking at them, Rose walked away with a smile on her face and decided to go to the kitchen and start breakfast.
When she was nearly done she asked the Tardis to wake them and got a happy hum in reply. Five minutes later the two Timelords shuffled into the kitchen and smiled at her. The father-daughter duo tucked into the banana pancakes thanking Rose as they ate.

Rose just smiled and laughed at them. She loved seeing them having their father-daughter moments, like this morning. She was so glad they found Kyraiah. She had brought so much to both of their lives, even more so to the Doctors life.
