"You sure?"

"Yes, well I think so." Trixie softly grabbed Katya's hand and kissed it.

"Like I said baby, I am heading to work. If you change your mind by the time I get off, you call me and tell me." Katya nodded her head as she looked at her hand interlocked with Trixie's. They fit so perfectly together. That was the scary part for Katya. She had never been so serious with someone before, never even thought about it. "It's going to be okay baby. You could always wait until I get off and I can be with you when you tell him."

"No, I can do it."

"Okay love." Trixie kissed the top of Katya's head with a smile. "I gotta get going babe, but I'm here for you."

"I know, thank you." Katya smiled a sad smile at Trixie before getting out of the car. Katya and Trixie had talked all night about Katya moving in. She said she wanted to as soon as possible, and Trixie was okay with that. All Katya had to do was pack and tell her family. That part is what scared her, telling her family. She knew that her aunt and sister would be okay with it, but she was so unsure of her dad. Even though he seemed okay with Katya's relationship, she just wasn't sure. Waiting outside the front door wasn't going to do anything. Katya took a deep breathe before walking inside her aunt's house.

"Willam, is that you?" Aunt Tempest yelled from the kitchen, before poking her head out. "Oh, hello Katya. How are you dear?"

"Um, I'm okay."

"You don't sound okay, something on your mind?"

"It's nothing."

"Come on in here and talk. I got time to listen while the roast is cooking." Katya slowly walked down the stairs, her feet feeling heavy. Katya leaned against the kitchen counter, a tired smile on her face. "What's going on honey?"

"Nothing." Tempest smiled softly and shook her head.

"We both know that isn't true." Katya sighed as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"Did dad tell you that him and mom were getting a divorce?"

"Yes, yes he told me."

"How long ago?"

"Hmm, he told me a few weeks before he came."

"Do you know how long he'd been thinking about it?"

"Oh gosh, a while. They haven't been happy for a long time. But they wanted to try and make it work for you girls. I said that it wasn't a good idea but they didn't listen. I felt as if it would just put weight on you girls when you found out. I knew they weren't gonna last for too much longer."

"So, it wasn't my fault?"

"Your fault? What? No! It is no one's fault. People just grow and when that happens, sometimes they grow apart. It has nothing to do with you or your sister. You girls are the best kids a person could ask for." Tempest softly cupped Katya's cheek with that same warm smile on her face.

"Um, aunt Tempest.."

"Yes?"

"Trixie told me I could move in with her if I wanted."

"And?"

"And uh I just wanted to know what you thought."

"Well, do you want to?"

"Move in with her?"

"Well, you seem to be asking rather than answering. Are you sure?"

"I think so, maybe."

"Can't make such big decisions like that on a maybe, you have to be sure."

"I want to."

"But?"

"Dad said that Willam and I could move back in with him."

"He said you could, not that you had to. Katya you are an adult now, you can make these calls yourself. Personally, I think she seems nice. I've only spoken to her maybe like three times but I like her. And if she makes you happy then she makes me happy."

"How do you think dad would feel?"

"He is a wild card, not as wild as your mother but still. How about you invite her over for dinner, so he can get a feel for her?"

"Wait, dinner?"

"Sure, why not? I always cook too much food anyways."

"I mean, I could ask her. She is busy all the time though."

"We can work around her schedule."

"If you think it's a good idea then okay."

"I think it could ease some of your worry."

"Okay, I'll call her and ask. Thank you for talking to me aunt Tempest."

"Of course dear." Katya walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs. Was this really a good idea? Sure, Katya's mom wouldn't be there but this situation still seemed..not ideal. Katya sat on her bed, unlocking her phone. She took a deep breathe before clicking the call button next to Trixie's name. It rang for a bit before Trixie's voice filled Katya's ear.

"Hello?"

"Hi."

"Hey baby, you called at a perfect time. I was just thinking about you."

"That is sweet."

"How are you baby? You feeling okay?"

"Yeah."

"You don't sound okay Kat. What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"No, no. I just, I talked to my aunt."

"Oh, about what?"

"Me moving in with you."

"How'd that go?"

"She said that I should invite you to dinner."

"Dinner huh?"

"Yes, I told her that you're really busy so I don't kn-"

"I'd love to." Trixie's quick answer took Katya by surprise, leaving her a bit taken back.

"What?"

"I said I'd love to, like have dinner with your family."

"You would?"

"Of course." Katya paused for a moment. She didn't expect that. "Do you know when?"

"Um, well I told aunt Tempest that we could work around your schedule."

"Well then, how about tomorrow night?"

"Tomorrow?"

"Yes, tomorrow is a half day so I will get off work early. I can go home and get ready, maybe even stop to the store to get something. I don't want to show up empty handed. Maybe a cake or something. What do you think?"

"Uh, yeah that sounds good. I will be sure to tell aunt Tempest."

"Good, anyway my lunch break is over. My next class is going to be here soon. I will call you when I get off work, okay?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, I love you babe."

"I love you too." Katya let her phone fall to her bed, in shock. This was going to be interesting.
