*two weeks later*
Trixie sat in her desk, grading assignments. It was the lunch period and she didn't feel like eating. Trixie had a lot on her mind, more than usual. She couldn't stop thinking about the talk she said with Katya. She couldn't get what Katya had said out of her head. "Knock, knock, knock." Trixie lifted her head and groaned.
"Farrah, why are you here?"
"I brought you lunch."
"Why?"
"Can't I just bring my big sister something to eat?"
"No." Trixie leaned back in her chair, looking at Farrah.
"Fine, it's my way of saying sorry."
"Saying sorry?"
"Yes, for being in your business."
"Farrah, that was weeks ago it's fine."
"It has been bothering me." Farrah set the lunch on Trixie's desk, sitting on top of one of the student's desk. "I shouldn't have been in your business. I only know what you tell me, I shouldn't have pushed so far."
"It's okay, you were right."
"Can I ask if you have talked to her?"
"I mean we have texted back and forth, but she doesn't have my class anymore so we see each other in passing."
"Have you figured out what you're going to do?"
"I was going to talk to her. I don't know what to say though."
"Just be honest."
"That's hard."
"Not as hard as you think. All you have to do is open your mouth Trixie. You can't think it all out, sometimes you just have to gamble. Relationships aren't something you can map out." Trixie sighed as she nodded.
"You're right."
"Ooh, twice in one day."
"What?"
"You've said I was right twice."
"Oh whatever." Farrah smiled as she got off of the desk.
"I have to get going."
"What do you have to do? A date with the tv or something?"
"I mean I have a date but not with the tv, you ass."
"Ooh is it pizza guy?"
"Maybe.." Farrah avoided Trixie's eyes and her smirk.
"What's his name?"
"Nope, nope we're not getting into that." Farrah opened the door and waved as she left. Trixie was about to finish grading homework when she heard a knock at the door.
"Did you forget something Farrah?"
"Uh, it's Ms. Mattel."
"Oh hello Jan. How are you?"
"I'm okay."
"Is something wrong?"
"It's uh about Katya."
"Katya?"
"Yes."
"What's wrong?"
"She won't come out of the bathroom."
"What?"
"She hasn't talked today and when I asked her if she was okay, she started to cry and ran off."
"Where is she?'
"The old girls' bathroom on the first floor."
"I'll go talk to her."
"Thanks Ms. Mattel."
"Of course."
"I wish I could be there for her more but she's just so distant."
"Jan, you are a great friend. I've seen it and Katya has too. Don't be so hard on yourself." Trixie stood up and walked to Jan, putting her hand on the girl's shoulder.
"Thank you."
"I'm going to go talk to Katya now, okay?"
"Okay." Trixie left the class and walked down the hall. As she walked, thoughts ran through her mind. Was this the time to tell Katya what she wanted? Or maybe it wasn't. Katya was already upset and Trixie had no idea what she was really upset about. This was a mess. Trixie knew that she shouldn't have gotten involved with Katya but she couldn't hold back, no matter how much she wanted to. Trixie walked into the bathroom, looking around.
"Katya, it's me Trixie." There was no answer. "Katya I know that you are in here. Please answer me. I want to talk to you." Trixie heard a sniffle from the stall at the end. She sighed and walked to the stall, knocking on the door. "Baby?"
"Don't call me that."
"Alright then, baby girl please talk to me."
"That's no better."
"Too bad."
"Is being mean to me supposed to make me talk to you?"
"Well, you're talking to me aren't you?" Trixie chuckled as she leaned against the door.
"What do you want?"
"Want an honest answer?"
"Yeah."
"You?"
"W-what?"
"I want you Katya, if I'm honest."
"You don't mean that."
"Yes I do. I know it may seem hard to believe and shit, I don't even believe myself hearing it. But it is true. I've lied to myself for so long that the truth sounds almost strange to me."
"What does this mean?"
"Well, I want to take you on a second date and then make you my girlfriend." Katya felt her heart start to race as she listened to Trixie's words. "I know it's taken me some time to admit this but I do have feelings for you Katya. Strong feelings. So strong that you are the only thing I think about at night, the thought of you keeps me up. But I love it so much. As I've told you before you look so at home in my bed and I could get so used to it. So used to seeing you every night and every morning. Truth is, I'm already used to it. I am just so stupid. I'm sorry it took me so long Katya." The bathroom was filled with nothing but silence. "I'm sorry to bother you, I wanted to tell you. I had to. I will get going now, you know where to find me." Trixie stood up straight and walked towards the door.
"Trixie, wait." Katya came rushing out of the stall, looking at Trixie. "Please, don't go."
"Well, what do you want me to do?"
"I want you to take me on another date.."
"I can do that, I would love to do that."
