*five weeks later*

"So, we still on for dinner tomorrow night?"

"Yeah. Um, but I haven't asked Willam if she wanted to come yet."

"I mean you don't have to really, I just didn't want you to feel weird. Farrah can be a handful and I know it can be overwhelming."

"Willam wouldn't make it any better. I don't know what sort of person you think she, but I can tell you that she sure isn't." Trixie laughed as she laid in bed.

"Oh, you love your sister."

"Well, sure. That isn't what is in question."

"Oh really? Well, what is in question then?"

"If I like her."

"That's not very nice."

"She's not very nice." Trixie shook her head as she sat up, groaning.

"Anyway, have you thought about college?"

"Ugh, this conversation again? What are you? My mom?"

"No sweetie, I'm your girlfriend."

"Can't tell the different."

"You suck on our tits for different reasons, oh and you came out of her vagina, you want to get in mine."

"Alright, alright don't need that in my head."

"Just trying to help."

"Well, thanks for that."

"Of course, but really baby. Have you thought about it?"

"Trixie, I don't know if I want to go to college."

"Why not?"

"I don't think it's for me."

"And why not?"

"Because I just don't. I am so tired of school."

"Then take a year off before you go sweetie."

"I wouldn't even know what my major should be. I have no clue about anything that I want to do after high school. Mom always made those choices for me."

"I mean, it's your life baby not hers."

"I know, I know. Just a little stuck."

"I can help you if you need it love."

"I know you will. Thank you."

"Of course baby, now what do you want for dinner tomorrow?"

"I don't know, I told you it didn't matter."

"And I told you to think of something, didn't I?"

"You."

"Me?"

"Yes, I want you for dinner."

"Didn't your mother teach you that sweets were meant for after dinner?"

"Mmm, she could have but that doesn't mean I listen."

"I can see that." Katya could hear Trixie's smile in her words and it made her heart sore.

"Trixie?"

"Mm?"

"Can I stay over tomorrow night?"

"I don't know."

"What?"

"How about you tell me what you want to eat and then I will tell you if you can? Sound like a deal?"

"I hate you."

"Uh huh, sure you do baby."

"I want lasagna."

"Lasagna huh?"

"Yes."

"Alrighty, I can do that."

"So?"

"So what?"

"Can I stay over tomorrow?"

"Oh of course doll, I would love for you to."

"You're the worse."

"And you love it."

Trixie walked through the supermarket, finding the ingredients for tonight's dinner. She was so excited. Sure. this wasn't the first time she had cooked for Katya but things were different now. Katya was her girlfriend. And even though that didn't change much in all honesty, it felt different to Trixie. She was happy to be with someone who was on the same page as her. It was refreshing to not be afraid of Katya not meaning what she said, or being unsure if she actually loved her or not. Those were always in the back of Trixie's mind when it came to Max. She never knew. Trixie spent so much of that relationship being unsure. Unsure of herself and where she stood or meant. Unsure of Max's love and her actions. It was all just a minefield. And no matter where Trixie stepped, it would blow up in her face. When she tried to do something nice for Max, she always messed something up or Max was always busy. Trixie didn't fully blame Max, they just weren't right for each other and that was okay. They moved too fast, Trixie wasn't gonna do that with Katya. They were gonna take things slow, steady, and easy. There was no rush, there wasn't any reason to rush. Both girls knew where they stood in each other's lives and that was important. Trixie set down the tomato she was looking at when her phone buzzed in her pocket. She looked at her phone, a little puzzled, before answering. "Hello?"

"Hey Trixie."

"Max?"

"Yeah."

"Um, hi."

"How are you?"

"I'm fine."

"That is good."

"How'd you get my number?"

"I was going through my old phone and found it."

"Hmm."

"Yeah."

"Well, you need something?"

"I guess I deserve that huh?"

"Yeah, that and more."

"True, but um you still living in that small town?"

"I mean it's not that small but yes, why?"

"I will be passing through for a photo shoot a few cities over and I wanted to know if we could talk. I got some stuff I want to get off my chest."

"I don't know if that is a good idea. You said all you had to say last time I saw you."

"Trixie, I-"

"Max, I have nothing that I want to say to you or hear from you. We broke up and that was it, what more is there?" Max was silent. "Thanks for calling but I am fine, I don't need to hear your bullshit excuses anymore. They didn't do me any good before and they won't now. Goodbye." Trixie ended the call and took a deep breathe. She had learned to live without Max, and she was going to keep doing just that. Just as Trixie stood in line, her phone buzzed.

Unkown: I will be staying in town for a few days, here is the address of the hotel and the room number. You can come by if you want. Maybe we could get dinner and talk.
