Katya looked at herself in the school bathroom. She was praying that she wouldn't see Trixie at all today. Katya hadn't spoken to Trixie in about six weeks. No texts, no calls, nothing. She told herself that she would be okay today. "Oh hey Katya. Are you okay?" Katya turned around to see Crystal, standing by the bathroom door.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Katya put on a smile and walked past Crystal. She looked at the numbers written on the tiny sticker note, room 333 as she walked down the hall. Trixie's room was 404, far away enough that Katya felt a sense of relief.
Katya was bored in class, the teacher was boring, and the work was boring. Not only that but she didn't have one single friend in this class. She was relieved that Trixie wasn't in here though..that was until she heard her teacher speak. "Okay class, Ms. Mattel here is going to be explaining the senior trip to you guys so please listen." Katya slowly looked up from her textbook and groaned. Trixie looked amazing. Her hair was up in a messy high ponytail, she wore red heels and black shockings, along with a white silk button up and a fitting black pencil skirt. Katya grabbed her water bottle and downed the cool liquid fast. This was fucking nuts.
"Hi kiddos, okay so as you know this is my first year teaching here and also my first year being in charge of the senior trip. Myself, Mrs. West, Mrs. Royal, and Mrs. Gemini will be over the girls. So ladies, if you have any questions you can come find me in my room. I will need all of you, both boys and girls, to come to my room after school to get your permission slip and to sign your name, telling me that you will be attending, and also what bus and cabin you would like to be in. Make sure to talk to your friends so you guys can be together. That is all." Katya had forgotten all about the senior trip, and most importantly she had forgotten that Trixie was going to be planning it all. Shit. Katya set her head down on her desk after Trixie left. She didn't have the energy to listen to her teacher ramble anymore.

"Are you guys excited about the trip?"
"Hell yeah!"
"Uh duh. That means we won't have school for a whole week!" Katya picked at her food as her friends held a conversion. She didn't want to go on this trip, not if Trixie was going.
"Kat, are you excited?!" Crystal wrapped her arm around Katya, shaking her.
"Hey let go!" Katya pushed Crystal off of her, standing up. The girls all looked at Katya, shock written on all of their faces.
"Katya, what has gotten into you?"
"Yeah, what is wrong?"
"Nothing..I gotta go." Katya grabbed her bag and ran out of the lunch room.
"Someone should go check on her."
"I can go."
"Uh Crystal, I don't think that would be such a good idea sweetie."
"Yeah, Gigi is right. Jan should go."
"I knew I was gonna get picked." Jan pushed back her lunch tray, grabbed her books, and left the cafeteria. She walked through the halls, looking in each empty class room. "Where could she be?" Jan stopped by the lockers when she had a thought. She decided to check one more place, the empty classroom by Trixie's. Katya always went into that class when she needed to be alone. Jan opened the door to the class slowly, she peeked inside and saw Katya sitting on the ground in the back. She was holding her knees to her chest, her head down. "Katya?"
"Go away Jan."
"Katya, what is wrong?"
"I don't know."
"You're lying Katya." Jan closed the door behind her before sitting next to Katya on the floor. "Katya, come on talk to me."
"Trixie is going on the senior trip Jan."
"Yeah, she is but so are other teachers."
"What am I going to do?"
"Just go? I don't see what the problem is."
"Maybe the fact that I haven't spoken to her and she probably hates me."
"You can literally change that. Just go talk to her."
"Not that easy."
"Because you won't let it be that easy Kat." Katya leaned her head back against the wall, taking a deep breathe.
"I thought I'd be okay."
"And you still can be. You just have to grab what you want by the balls. You can rule the world, just go for it."
"I don't want the world."
"You want Ms. Mattel. That's close enough."
"I didn't think it would hurt like this."
"Turn the hurt around."
"What am I supposed to do?"
"I mean, I think you should talk to her but in the end it's your choice. I will say though that if you don't talk, nothing will change." Katya sighed and looked at Jan.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Coming to talk to me. I know I have been a moody bitch lately."
"I guess you and Ms. Mattel have something else in common huh?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well I heard some of the other teachers talking, saying how bitchy she has been lately. Oh and she sucks at talking too so there's that also."
"Alright, alright whatever. Hey, um can you tell Crystal that I said I'm sorry?"
"Sure but where are you going?"
"To get the permission slip from Ms. Mattel."
"Are you gonna talk to her?"
"I'll ask her if we can talk later today."
"Good job."
"Thanks, I'll see you later."
"Hey Katya?"
"Yeah?"
"She probably misses you too." Katya nodded before walking out into the hall. She grabbed the doorknob of Trixie's classroom door, gripping it tightly. She took one final deep breathe before opening it. Katya stood shocked in the doorway when she saw Trixie kissing some woman. Trixie opened her eyes and pulled away, looking at Katya.
"Uh Katya, i-is there something I can help you with?" She cleared her throat as she backed away from the woman.
"I came to get a permission slip." Katya looked away, rubbing her arm.
"Of course, I'll get that for you. Uh hey Sammy, I'll call you when I get home okay?"
"Sure thing babe." The brown haired woman walked past Katya, leaving the classroom. Katya stood frozen by the door, her head down and vision blurry from the tears swelling in her eyes.
