The sun shined through the hotel window, the light waking Katya. "Trixie, close the curtains."

"You get up and do it."

"I don't want to."

"Well, what makes you think that I do?" Trixie spoke with her head, buried in her pillow. Katya kicked Trixie with her foot before dragging herself out of the bed. She closed the curtains as she yawned. After taking a bath with Trixie last night, they ate pizza and soon after, fell asleep. Katya smiled as she jumped on top of Trixie's back. "Ugh, why?"

"Why not?" Katya kissed Trixie's cheek as she buried her face into Trixie's hair. "You still gotta open your gift."

"What time is it?" Katya looked at the clock on the bedside table, reading the red numbers.

"7:20am."

"Hmm, would you like me to open it now?"

"Yes."

"Alright, you have to get off of me first?"

"I guess I can do that." Katya climbed off of Trixie, grabbing the wrapped box. Trixie sat up, cracking her neck. She reached for the phone on the table and pressed for room service.

"Good morning, I would like to order breakfast. Two cups of coffee, one with extra sweetener. And for food, waffles, bacon, eggs and fresh fruit please."

"Yes ma'am, all of that will take about 20 minutes."

"Take your time." Once Trixie had hung up the phone, Katya put the wrapped box in her lap. "You seem so eager for m to open this."

"Because I to see if you like it." Trixie smiled as she sighed.

"Alright then." She looked at the box and shook it before finally ripping off the paper. Trixie took the lid off of the box, gasping.

"What? Oh no, do you hate it. I knew it was stupid. I can return this and get you something else."

"Katya..it's beautiful." Trixie picked up the doll, a smile on her face. "She's so pretty."

"Are you sure you just aren't saying that?"

"Of course not. I love her Katya, I really do. Thank you." Trixie set the doll beside her and leaned down,  kissing Katya's cheek. "You really are a sweetheart, you know that right?"

"Hmph, maybe."

"Well, it isn't a maybe baby. It is true."

"Whatever." Katya leaned against the bed, in between Trixie's legs.

"What would you like to do today?"

"I don't know."

"Would you maybe want to catch a movie or something?"

"As long as I'm with you, I don't care."

"You know, you talk to me like we are some married couple."

"Not married, just yet anyway."

"Oh, not yet huh? What is that, telling the future?"

"Nope, more of wishful thinking."

"You seem like you have big ideas when it comes to us."

"I told you that I liked you, not my fault that you don't listen."

"We both agreed that waiting was best."

"Maybe I just said that. What if I don't want to wait?"

"Katya, there is no need to rush."

"I'm not rushing."

"It feels like it."

"Well maybe that is because I like you so much. Did you think about that?" Katya stood up and walked to the window, looking at birds fly by.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"I feel like I'm going crazy."

"Why?"

"You are so close but so far at the same time."

"Katya, you aren't making any sense. We said that after all that happened.."

"I know what we said okay, but people say stuff all the time. Just because I said it doesn't mean that is what I want. I want you, I don't want to freaking wait. Makes me feel like I'm fucking insane. I don't want my chance to pass me by."

"You make it sound like I'm going to start seeing someone else."

"You could, there isn't anything stopping you."

"Have you thought about the possibility that I feel the same as you?"

"I mean, I don't know." Trixie sighed as she stood up, walking over to Katya. She rested her hand on the younger girl's shoulder.

"Katya, I wouldn't have said that we should wait a bit if I didn't want this. I may not show it but I want this just as much as you do. I know how the pain feels though, I know how much it hurts when it just doesn't work. That is one of the mistakes I made with Max. I rushed, she rushed, we rushed into it. That is how we ended up where we were. I'm not saying that is the reason why she cheated, but I am saying that not getting to know someone before hand can set you up for failure. I don't want that to be us. Being able to be friends helps us build. We can't build our world together if we don't have a solid foundation."

"Trixie, it feels like I'm suffocating. The waiting, it feels like a death sentence. You are here and have the key to making it easier to breathe. It feels as if you just like to watch me struggle to breathe." Katya leaned against the wall near the window, watching the clouds move slowly. "The kisses you give me breathe oxygen into my lungs, just enough to keep me going."

"Katya.."

"I know that I am just being impatient but I don't want you to end up falling for somewhere else out of the blue. You have no idea how many times I've replayed that memory. The memory of you kissing that woman. I never want to feel that way again."

"And you won't." Trixie grabbed Katya's hand, holding it close to her chest. "I never want to make you feel that way again, but I need you to see that I just want to make sure that this is something we can have for a long time. If that is what you want of course. I don't want this to be something we think about in five or ten years and feel the burn, the sting from it. I want it to be beautiful, even if it doesn't last forever. We have time."
