*three days later*

"Where have you been?" Farrah stood at the bottom of the stairs, staring at her older sister.

"I'm sorry, I could have sworn I paid the bills here."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"Are you my mother?" Trixie threw her bag on the floor and walked into the kitchen.

"You came in the dead of night, got clothes and left. You didn't say shit to me. You didn't even say anything to me before you left four days ago. I didn't stay here so you could ditch me."

"I don't remember asking you to stay Farrah, I don't even remember asking you to even show up in the first place." Trixie grabbed a bottle of water out of the freezer and sat at the table.

"Who pissed you off?"

"No one, I'm sorry."

"What happened?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, when I saw you four days ago..you were happy. You had a bounce in your step. Did something happen with Katya? Did you guy break up?"

"We aren't dating Farrah."

"Still?"

"Yeah."

"Then, what's the problem?"

"Apparently that is the problem."

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Katya hates the fact that we aren't dating."

"Do you want to date her?"

"Of course."

"Then why aren't you dating? Got cold feet?"

"Because I want us to make sure that we have enough time before we decide to take that step."

"Does this have to do with what went down with you and Max? Ugh, of course it does. Everything does when it comes to relationships. Trixie, how many times do we have to tell you?"

"Yeah, yeah I know. Katya is not Max. I'm not saying she is, but you don't just throw out what you learned from past relationships just because it isn't the same person."

"I mean, yeah that is true."

"I don't know what to do. I like her but I don't feel comfortable just jumping back into it."

"Have you told her that?"

"Not exactly."

"Don't you think that is something you should tell her? Instead of giving some bullshit excuse." Trixie laid her head on the table in her arms.

"This is all too much. I didn't expect this."

"What? Did you expect to be lonely for the rest of your life?"

"I feel like it would be easier."

"Trix, you are the one making it so hard."

"I am not."

"Yes, you are."

"I didn't ask you for advice."

"You're getting it."

"You act more and more like dad every time I see you."

"Yeah, and you act like mom. You run and throw yourself into work or anything else once personal relationships get to be too much for you. You are so willing to work yourself to death at some job but not when it comes to your love life."

"Okay Ms. Know-it-all."

"I'm not saying that I know it all, but I do know you, very well. Ms. Cold feet."

"I don't have cold feet, anyway I'm going to take a shower."

"Running again?"

"If that's what you want to call it then go ahead."

"Then what do you call it?"

"Farrah, I just don't feel like hearing what I already know."

"Then do something about it since you know." Trixie scoffed and walked past her sister, out of the kitchen. She walked up the stairs to her bedroom. Once in her room, behind her close door, Trixie sat on the floor. She laid her head back against the door as she closed her eyes. Trixie knew that what Farrah said was truth, she had already told herself all of that stuff. That didn't change anything though, did it?

"Ooh, look who's back."

"Hi aunt Tempest."

"Hi dear, did you have fun?"

"Yeah."

"Are you sure? You sound kind of down. Is something bothering you?"

"Just tired."

"Hmm, you should get some rest. I will call you down when dinner is ready."

"Okay, thanks aunt Tempest." Katya smiled as she walked upstairs to her room. She had spent three days with Trixie and usually that would have been great but not so much this time. There was a silent tension between the two. And Katya felt as if it was her fault. She knew that Trixie didn't mean any harm. That was hard to accept tough. She hated waiting for something she wanted so bad. Katya had her eyes on Trixie ever since they first met and that felt like so long ago. How much longer could she wait before she lost her mind? Katya felt as if Trixie should have come with a warning label. A label that said 'I'll take your heart and you won't get it back'. She probably wouldn't have listened to the label anyway. It was something about that woman. Something that pulled Katya in so far, so deep. And even after hearing that Trixie felt the same way, Katya was still on edge. It wasn't like Trixie wanted to hurt her so why was this so hard for Katya?
