Trixie and Katya spent the first quarter of the school year flirting with and chasing each other. Although in the middle of all the chasing, a bond was formed. Something close to a relationship. Katya spent her weekdays in Trixie's classroom and her weekends in Trixie's bed. "Are you excited for your break?" Trixie cleaned off the white board as Katya moved the desk around. Thanksgiving break started tomorrow and Katya wasn't excited at all.
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because."
"Because what?"
"I'm going to..going to miss you."
"Awe princess." Trixie walked to Katya with a soft smile. "It isn't that long of a break. You will be okay."
"Can't I spend Thanksgiving with you?"
"No sweetie, you should spend time with your family."
"All we are gonna do is go back to Boston. We are going to visit my grandparents."
"That is important."
"Come on, I'll tell my parents that I am staying with a friend."
"Babe, I would feel bad."
"I wouldn't, come on Trixie. You are gonna spend Thanksgiving alone, aren't you?"
"Well, yeah. Pearl is spending Thanksgiving with her mom."
"Then please? I don't want you to spend that time alone."
"Aren't you just a sweetheart?"
"Yes, the sweetest." Katya smiled as Trixie cupped her cheek. "So, is that a yes?"
"Ask your parents first, then I will give you my answer."
"I guess I'm okay with that."
"Well, I'm glad baby." Katya watched as Trixie walked back to her desk.
"Trixie, let's go on a date."
"A what?"
"A date, I um I want to go on a date." Trixie leaned against her desk and chewed on the inside of her cheek. A date? Trixie honestly thought Katya had moved on from that.
"Katya, may I ask why?"
"B-because I just, well why not?" Katya rubbed her shoulder, avoiding Trixie's gaze. She didn't want to be too honest, or honest at all really. Silence filled the air, an unsettling silence.
"Okay."
"Wait, really?"
"Sure, a date sounds nice. I haven't been on an actual date in a while so let's do it." Katya jumped up and wrapped her arms around Trixie's neck, hugging her. Trixie chuckled as she rubbed Katya's lower back. "I'm glad that I can make you happy baby girl."
"You always make me happy." Katya looked in Trixie's eyes, being pulled in. After a few seconds Katya cleared her throat and backed away. "Um, so what are we gonna do for our date?"
"Hmm, I have an idea. How about you go home and get changed into something comfy. I will come pick you up at 10 tonight."
"Why so late?"
"Because the night life is fun, unless you're scared of the dark."
"Me, scared of the dark? No." Trixie put her finger under Katya's chin with a grin.
"That's a pity, I would love to see you afraid, holding onto me so I could protect you from the dark." Katya sighed and rolled her eyes before grabbing her bag.
"I have to go get ready, I will see you later tonight." Katya placed a small kiss on Trixie's lips and left the classroom.
After getting home, Katya hopped in the shower and washed her hair. She wrapped one towel around her dripping body and another around her hair before looking through her closet. Nothing she had seemed date worthy. Katya laid back on her bed and groaned. She was thinking about just telling Trixie to cancel when she had a thought. Katya jumped up and ran to Willam's room, knocking on her door. "Willam! I need your help! Willam."
"Ugh, shut up."
"Willam, come on. Get up. It is 4 in the evening, you need to be up anyway."
"Says who?" Katya groaned and kicked Willam's door.
"Willam, I need an outfit for my date with Trixie. I don't have anything I like, so please." Silence. Katya sighed and turned around to walk back to her room.
"Get your ass in here." Katya smiled as she walked in Willam's room. "What are you looking for?"
"I have no idea." Willam rubbed sleep from her eyes as she leaned against her closet door.
"Are we going for slut here, freak by night and good girl by day, or what? I need something."
"Well, this is our first date so I was thinking.."
"Wait, pause. Did you say this your first date with her?"
"Yes, why?" Willam looked through her closet and threw out shirt after shirt, looking for something. Katya sat looking a bit confused. "Willam, what are you looking for?"
"These." Willam held up a pair of ripped white washed jeans. "These are my favorite jeans, I wore them when I first met Courtney and on my first date with her"
"Really?"
"Yep." Courtney was Willam's ex-girlfriend. They hit it off very well and only broke up when Courtney had to move back home to Australian. The break up was awful for the both of them. Courtney promised Willam that when she came back, they would be together again and well Willam held onto that promise. After Courtney left, Willam hadn't been with another girl. She merely passed the time with men. Never committing.
"Thanks Willam." Willam nodded and looked through her closet for a top and a pair of shoes. By the end of her searching, Willam had the perfect outfit for Katya. A red halter top, a black biker jacket, black boots, and those ripped white washed jeans. Katya looked at herself in her mirror and smiled.
"Katya?"
"Yeah?"
"What are you and Trixie?"
"What do you mean?"
"Are you guys pushing for a relationship or what?"
"I don't really know Willam."
"Hmm, how does that make you feel?"
"I'm still trying to figure that out for myself."
