Trixie poured the hot water into the cups that sat on the counter. She told Katya to go take a shower while she made tea and snacks. Trixie also told Katya that she could stay the night, which Katya seemed hesitant about at first. Although after Trixie told her that they could sleep in different beds, she seemed okay. Trixie told herself that she wouldn't do this, that she would keep the relationship with Katya as just teacher and student. But it was easy to say that when she didn't see Katya. Yeah, the idea popped into her head after Violet tried to pull that little stunt. The idea to call Katya up and tell her to meet Trixie tonight, she decided against that though. Katya wasn't some piece on a chess board to be moved all around. Trixie took a deep breathe as she leaned over the sink. She chuckled as she listened to Katya singing in the shower, a little songbird. It brought a smile to Trixie's face. She loved knowing that Katya was so close to her, within her reach. When Trixie first saw Katya walk in her class after she had gotten back from that break, Trixie wanted to hug her. Trixie wanted to cover Katya's face in kisses and tell her that she was sorry. That didn't happen though. After Trixie heard Violet and Katya outside of her class, something inside her broken a little. Was it her heart? Maybe. Trixie didn't know, she didn't want to know. Trixie wanted to move on and cut the strings but she couldn't. She felt stuck, stuck in a loop. A loop filled with twists and turns..that seemed to take her nowhere and everywhere at the same time. Every twist and every turn put her in the same place, it left her feeling the same feeling. That burning desire, that want, for no one other than Katya. Trixie began to zone out and think, think about how she got here and how she would get out. "Trixie, I grabbed one of your old college shirts. I hope that is okay. Trixie?" Katya stood at the bottom of the stairs, staring at Trixie. Trixie was silent as she stared out of the window. She was lost in her thoughts. Katya stood behind Trixie and softly tapped her shoulder, making Trixie jump a little. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's okay. Did you need something?"

"Um, I was just telling you that I got one of your old shirts. Is that okay?" Trixie looked at Katya, taking in everything she saw. Katya was standing in front of Trixie, her hair fuzzy from the hot shower, her face bare, her cheeks a slight shade of red, and her long legs exposed. Trixie swallowed hard and chuckled.

"Of course that is okay songbird."

"Songbird?"

"Yes. I heard you singing in the shower so I think it fits you. Little bird."

"That is an insult to all birds. I sound awful."

"Oh hush, you should beautiful."

"Well, thank you." Katya blushed as she played with the hem of the oversized shirt.

"Yeah, um I made tea and a few snacks. I didn't know if you had eaten, so I didn't know if I should have actually cooked you something. Although I saw that you were crying and you don't usually like to eat when you are upset so maybe snacks are the best choice." Katya smiled softly and giggled.

"This is more than enough, thank you." Katya picked up her cup of tea and sat at the table. "I didn't think you paid that much attention to me."

"What?"

"You said you know that I don't like to eat when I'm upset."

"Oh that, well yeah."

"I just didn't think you noticed something like that, something so small."

"It's not small to me." Trixie picked up her tea and took a sip as she looked at Katya.

"I guess not."

"Listen, maybe you thought this but let me make this clear, you weren't just some fuck toy Katya and still aren't."

"What?"

"You said that you didn't expect me to notice these so called little things about you."

"Because I don't."

"Katya, I know you favorite color, snack food, book, and song. I know your favorite sleeping position, shit I even know that you like butter on both sides of your toast. And not because you told me, but because I have noticed these things. I've noticed the way you hold your head slightly to the left when you're sad or how you bite the inside of your cheek when you're nervous."

"And what is all that supposed to mean?"

"It means that I don't just like you for just the sex."

"Wait..what?" Katya stared at Trixie, hoping that Trixie would repeat herself. She didn't. Instead Trixie picked up the plate of cookies and walked into the living room. Trixie said that she liked Katya. Did she mean as friend or..more?

"Are you coming? I want to watch The Dark Crystal?" Katya shook her head and looked up, seeing Trixie stand in the doorway.

"Yeah, I'm coming."
