Trixie went the whole day, not talking to Katya. They would usually text each other after Katya left for her other classes. It wasn't like that today though. As soon as the bell rang, Katya was the first to leave class. It was now the end of the day and Trixie was ready to go home. She was packing things up when she heard a knock on her door. "Come in." Trixie was a bit confused when a girl with dirty blonde beach curls walked in. "Hello, how may I help you?"
"I'm Willam Belli, Katya's older sister. Our mom couldn't make it to this meeting so she told me to come instead. Is my sister in trouble? It wouldn't surprise me if she was."
"Oh, um no. I just wanted to talk to your mother about possible scholarships that Katya could receive. This is her last year and I want to see her go places."
"I will make sure to tell my mom."
"Here you go. These are some papers detailing the different scholarships that I think would benefit Katya."
"Thanks."
"Where is Katya anyway? Did she drive to school?"
"No, I drove her this morning. She texted me and told me she was going to help Mrs. Chachki after school."
"Oh."
"Yeah, anyway thanks again. Bye." Willam turned around and left the classroom. Trixie held her stomach as she sat down. She didn't feel too good. In a fit of rage and jealously, Trixie stood up and stormed out of her class, down the hall. She stopped at Violet's classroom as she looked in the window. Trixie's heart dropped when she saw Violet's hand on Katya's waist. They were so close, inches apart. Trixie swallowed hard and turned around, just as Katya turned her head. Katya saw a river of blonde hair, disappearing from the window.
"Is something wrong Katya?"
"No, it's nothing."
"Okay, good." Violet went back to kissing Katya's neck but Katya had a lot on her mind.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"How do you get someone to like you?" Violet looked in Katya's eyes, a bit surprised by the question.
"Well, you have to get their attention."
"And then what?"
"Keep their attention, spend time with them, become apart of their world." Violet smiled as she rubbed her thumb over Katya's cheek. "Is there a special someone in your life?"
"I wouldn't say that."
"Why?"
"Because we're just friends."
"Katya, you are a very beautiful girl. Anyone would be lucky to have your attention and if a girl can't see that, then don't waste your time baby."
"Thank you."
"No problem." Violet gently kissed Katya's cheek with a soft smile. "Would you like me to take you home?"
"No, thank you. I am going to see Crystal and hang with her for a while." Katya stood up and walked to the door.
"Alright. Thank you for stopping by doll."
"I had fun, maybe we could make it to that place you wanted to take me some other time."
"Oh, really?"
"Yes."
"We'll have to see." Violet winked at Katya as she opened the classroom door, walking out into the hall. Katya enjoyed the attention that Violet gave her today. It wasn't the attention of a friend but of someone who wants you. If only Trixie gave her that type of attention. Katya didn't feel like Trixie would ever give her that attention, even if she begged for it. Katya stopped at Trixie's class and took a deep breathe before opening the door. She peeked inside to see Trixie with her head on her desk. She knocked on the door, scaring Trixie.
"Sorry."
"Oh, it's you."
"What's wrong with you?"
"I could have asked you the same thing."
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh, are we going to act like you haven't been ignoring me? My calls and text messages? You didn't even say anything to me when you left my class this morning." Trixie could feel anger and bitterness fill her words.
"I didn't think it mattered."
"Didn't matter?"
"Well yeah."
"And why's that?" Trixie stood up and walked to Katya, standing closer than Katya expected.
"We're just friends, remember? Sometimes friends just don't want to talk." Katya's eyes stared in Trixie's. There was a build up of tension and it was only getting thicker with every second. "Or better yet, you're the teacher and I'm just the student, Ms. Mattel." Katya turned around, ready to leave. Trixie shut the door and pushed Katya against it.
"Did you fuck her Katya?"
"Whatever do you mean Ms. Mattel? My sexual activities are not to be discussed with my teacher."
"Cut the crap."
"How about you make me? Are you jealous? Someone gives me attention and you get all touchy. What's wrong, huh? Is there a problem?" Katya felt like she was pushing her luck as Trixie's face showed no emotion. Trixie chuckled and backed away, walking back to her desk.
"Be at my house at 9 tonight."
"And if I'm not."
"I expect you to be."
