"What happened?" Jahseh asked me and I shrugged, while fanning her.
"I'm pretty sure she got overwhelmed about the whole situation" I told him and he nodded, sighing.
"She too young we gotta give her up, we can't hide her till she's 18 that's 2 years and she gotta go to school and shit at least one of us has to be smart" he spoke and I nodded.
I wanted her to stay so bad but I know she can't, it'll fuck all 3 of us up if she stays.
"I'll carry her to the car" I told Jah and he nodded.
I picked Lily up and began to carry her out of the apartment, following Jah through the building and to the car, I laid her gently in the backseat before getting in the drivers seat.
I want to cry so bad but I know I can't, that's not the right thing to do right now. It really won't help anything at the moment.
I decided that before we got to the police station the least we could do is stop and get something to eat. I stopped and got her a burger and fries with a vanilla milkshake, knowing she'd love the milkshake.
The rest of ride there was completely silent with just me and Jah up and Lily groaning in her sleep every now and then.
Once we got there I sighed and parked the car seeing that Lily still wasn't all the way up yet but she looked like she was getting there.
"I really don't want her to get taken away from us" I told Jahseh and he nodded.
"I swear if she was 17 we could hide her ass in there until she was 18" he told me and I nodded.
"Y'all bring me here anyways?" I heard Lily speak with a raspy voice.
Before either of us could say anything or comfort her she started to cry again.
"Lily I got you a milkshake" I told her and she shook her head at me, slapping it on the car floor which made me furrow my eyebrows at her.
"Fuck you guys" she spoke lowly before getting out of the car and slamming the door shut.
I got out of the car quickly and chased after her "Lily I love you please don't act like this" I told her as I held her hand and she snatched it away.
"No you don't, don't lie to me anymore Stokeley" she told me before she marched into the station where I could see they were already starting to bother her.
As soon as the recognized her, four cops walked up to her and the chief.
"No goodbye?" Jah asked and I shook my head.
"She hates me" I told him and he shook his head next.
"She's just overwhelmed right now that's all, she had no one to take the anger out on but you" he assured me but I wasn't going for it.
She didn't say she loved me too but instead that I was lying to her and left me with that on my heart. I'm hurting her by doing this.
But it's too late to take it back.
