". . . shiro. Yashiro?" She heard a voice calling.

She opened her eyes. A boy with amber eyes and choppy black hair leaned over her. She inhaled quickly.

He's so cute!

"H-hi!" She sat up quickly. Glancing around, she saw she was in what looked like an . . . infirmary. "It's n-nice to m-meet you!" This was a cute boy, so she should introduce herself properly.

"Yashiro?" The boy frowned. "What do you mean, 'it's nice to meet you'?"

The girl blinked. "I don't want to be rude, but . . .

Who is 'Yashiro'?"

Hanako froze. Then he laughed humorously.

"Oh, ha, so funny. 'Who's Yashiro', sure." He smiled, but it wasn't genuine. "It's me, Hanako-kun. Duh."

"I-i'm sorry, but I don't know you." Hanako blinked.

"W-what do you remember?" he asked.

"I'm in my last year of high school, I go to Kamome Academy, and . . . I have a friend named . . . Aoi. Yeah, Aoi. And one named Kou!" she smiled. "But I don't remember anything else about them. A-and I don't remember you." She cocked her head. "Are you sure that we've met before?"

That's when Hanako got an idea. A crazy, impossible, nonsense idea. "Really, you don't remember me? I mean, I've been your boyfriend for almost two years, so--"

"I have a boyfriend?!" she covered her mouth and laughed. "And he's you?! Wow, I thought you were cute!" She grinned. "And my name is Nene Yashiro?" Nene paused. "That does sound familiar."

Hanako had another idea. "I'm surprised you don't remember anything about me. After all, we're engaged." Nene blushed furiously.

"W-we are?" she grinned wider. "W-wow, I wish I could remember everything!"

Kou suddenly appeared at the door. "Senpai? I heard something happened to you. Are you okay?" He spotted Hanako. "Why are you grinning--"

"Yashiro and I are engaged!" He announced. Nene smiled.

"You must be Kou!" Kou blinked.

"Does Senpai have amnesia?" He asked the ghost.

"Yep. Now, where were we? Right, Yashiro--" Kou dove at the ghost.

"Why are you lying to Senpai?!?" He smacked Hanako repeatedly, making Hanako fly across the room, running into Nene.

"Hey-- huh?" Nene blinked, pushing Hanako off her. "Why am I in the infirmary? What happened?" Kou hurried to his friend.

"Hanako told you a bunch of lies since you--"

"Wait, are we still engaged?" Hanako asked. Nene blushed.

"W-what?"

"Yeah, you said we were engaged." Hanako lied to the girl. Kou raised a hand to slap the ghost.

"Oh, let me!" Nene smacked Hanako.

Repeatedly.
