Avery's POV
Sawyer woke me up by hitting me with a pillow and I scowled up at him and Quinn snuggled closer to me seemingly also a victim of Sawyer's pillow assault. "Come on you two get up already." I cuddle with Quinn who mumbles something and I stick my tongue out at Sawyer's annoyed face and he rolled his eyes at me. Once he realized that the two of us weren't getting up he sighed then crawled back into bed cuddling with Quinn and me. "15 more minutes then we have to get up."
I hum in agreement and Quinn whines but we both will get up when the time is up. I think we all wanted some extra time cuddling together but if we stay in our room too long we may bring ourselves extra attention I am not interested in dealing with today. I also want us to get all our school work done today before this family dinner thing to help convince Alessandro and the others to allow us to go to school earlier than planned. It's getting boring being trapped in this house all the time and I need some entertainment. Although I could convince my twins to cause trouble by pranking Adriano that doesn't seem like it would be as much fun as wreaking havoc at some fancy rich kid school.
When Sawyer makes us get up I head to the bathroom to get ready leaving him to rouse Quinn who was still refusing to get up knowing that I would probably have to take over once I come back out because he usually ends up bending to Quinn's will.
Finding Quinn still snuggled in blankets as I walk out of the bathroom wasn't a surprise so I pull the blankets away and she whines but gets up with a playful glare. Out of the three of us, only Quinn can manage to sleep in a bit although she also probably gets the least amount of sleep.
When Quinn came out of the bathroom I made her put her sling on and then we headed for the door. It was still early so we would probably beat most of our family to the kitchen. I switch to Russian as we walk, "When we are done with the morning family bull shit I want to get all our assignments done."
"Who knew Avery would be the one pushing us to do school work," Sawyer shares a playful grin with Quinn and I flip them off.
"I want to convince them to get over this whole recovery time shit and let us go to school."
Sawyer raised a brow, "Any plans for school then Aves."
I smirk at him as we walk into the kitchen where Leonardo and Alessandro look up with curiosity probably at our conversation in Russian, "You know me Sawy bean perfect student who follows the rules I am just anxious to get into the classroom." Both my twins laugh at my sarcasm, none of us are rule-following students, well Quinn is until she gets bored which is often considering she taught herself most of the high school level content when we were kids.
"Morning tesoros, how did you sleep?" I look over to Alessandro's guarded face and return my own.
"Fine."
Leonardo looks us over, "No coffee today?"
"Nope," We only drink coffee on days we don't get any sleep although Quinn may get coffee to try and do her work faster.
"As you know you will be meeting the rest of the family today," He pauses and I raise an eyebrow waiting for him to get to the point. They will get here at 4:30. If at any point you get overwhelmed you can tell us and we can help okay?"
I nod slowly, not interested in arguing this when I had something to talk to them about, "Sure." We would never tell them we were overwhelmed. No admitting weakness to anyone, not even each other. One of the many rules we have learned over the years.
They both nod seemingly satisfied with our answer so I take this to bring my own request up, "I know you think it's better to keep us away from school until we're healed completely but we want to go. We are bored here and it's not fair for you to have to worry about us being home alone" All my points are true and valid and they seem to know it.
