Avery's POV

After waiting a while longer we all went back into our room and took turns getting ready in the bathroom with Quinn going first and I went last. It would have been faster if we all split up to our other rooms but we wanted to stay together.

"What do you think this placement test is going to be like?" Sawyer asked once I came out of the bathroom, Quinn looked up curiosity in her eyes to know my answer.

I shrugged, "Easy as everything else school-related."

Sawyer nodded, "Do we actually do well on it, or do you want us to intentionally get some of the stuff wrong?"

I thought about it if we tried our best they would know exactly how smart we were and if we did badly it might look suspicious and we would have to deal with Alessandro getting us tutors and that was not happening. "Do well but get a few questions wrong on purpose I don't want them to think we're dumb but they also can't know how smart we really are."

"And what about later? Are we supposed to try and not do our best in classes?" This would probably be hardest on Quinn out of the three of us she has always been the most book smart. Doing badly on tests was harder for her than it was for Sawyer and me because she actually cared.

"Maybe we'll see how it goes. I think this test is just to see what grade they should put us in."

"If we did well we could actually be placed in some fun classes though." I glanced over at Sawyer thinking it over.

I shook my head, "They will also get suspicious if we ace this test without trouble. They could wonder what else we are hiding and they're already suspicious from last night."

They both nodded and we headed out of our room to the kitchen knowing that it was the unofficial meeting area for the family in the mornings. We found Alessandro, Leonardo, Remo, and Dante all in the kitchen. They greeted us calling us various pet names which I rolled my eyes at. Quinn went and made coffee but just like the last time Remo took the expresso and only put two shots in earning him glares from all three of us which he ignored and went back to where he was sitting. Everyone else in the kitchen looked surprised but Quinn handed Sawyer and me our coffees and then sat on the counter ignoring Remo's look. Sawyer took a seat on a stool by the island and I leaned against the counter.

"Well be leaving for the school in twenty minutes, the twins and Cesco will show you three around and then we'll talk with the principal and you will take the placement test," I nodded at Alessandro's words. I didn't really care. The three of us have been to a lot of schools and at this point, a new school didn't matter to us. We didn't care about friends or teachers so school didn't matter to us very much.

"Awe are my babies nervous to go to the big new school?" Remo looked over the three of us and we gave him blank looks back and he frowned. "Don't worry I know you'll do well on that test."

I rolled my eyes, "We've been to lots of different schools and taken a lot of tests. We don't care about this school."

Dante smirked at me, "Of course you're not nervous at all."

"Fuck off yeti."

"Language Avery," Alessandro warned me completely skipping over the fact I called his son a yeti.

"I can say it Russian if you want," I gave Alessandro an innocent look.

"We both know that wasn't what I meant."

I scrunched my face up with fake confusion, "I could say it in Italian." All their eyes snapped to me a bit panicked.

"You know Italian?"
