Every year, the summer carnival would come to Yuki's town, and he would always attend it with his mother. This year, his mother fell sick and couldn't come, but the lucky student wasn't going alone either way.

A week before the carnival, Yuki had decided to call his boyfriend who was travelling abroad and asked him if he wanted to attend it with him. To humour the smaller boy, Syobai agreed to come back to Japan to go to the carnival with Yuk.

When the day came that the carnival came to town, Yuki walked arm in arm with the broker, going to all the attractions to show him. "Have you ever been to a carnival before, Syobai?" The ginger asked, a chipper smile on his face.

"Once, but I had to stay on the outskirts of the forest because it was a transaction location. I've never been in the middle of one before." Syobai replied, his expression neutral. "I still don't understand why you wanted to bring me of all people."

"Well, I just wanted to let you experience something fun and relaxing like an ordinary person..." The lucky student confessed. "You're always working in a dangerous business, and I only thought that this would-"

"You don't need to worry about me. I'm used to living a dangerous life, and you're used to living a normal one. Nothing shameful about that." The broker sighed. "So, what did you want to show me?"

Yuki looked around, looking for something he thought Syobai would like. Soon, he saw a booth with water guns and a target. "Hey, let's go over there!" He chirped, pulling the taller boy over to the attraction.

To Yuki's delight, Syobai immediately got the hang of the game, and he seemed to get into it when he realized that there was a gun involved, even if it was a water one. The two of them competed against each other for a plushy prize, which the broker won and carried with him as they walked through the carnival.

As the evening came and the sun began to dip below the horizon, the last attraction Yuki took Syobai on was the Ferris wheel. As their cab rose to the top of the wheel, the lucky student was happy to see his boyfriend more content after a day of just normal fun. His expression might not have shown it, but Yuki could tell from the way he held himself and his slight change in body language that Syobai liked the experience.

"See? I told you that this was fun." Yuki laughed. "Since we arrived in the late afternoon, we still haven't gone to all the attractions yet. Do you wanna come back tomorrow?"

"Hm? Yeah, sure." The broker spoke, gazing at their surroundings from being this high. "Do what you want."
