College is tiring and a little stressful, but writing these two is good relief for that. Have some domestic fluff.

Warning: alcohol, emetophobia

"Have you heard of the saying 'April showers brings May flowers'? Perhaps that's why the sun is shining so brightly today."

Nikei listened halfheartedly to the wizard's rambles, walking around a street pole on the sidewalk. It wasn't an unusual occurrence to see the two walking together after their college classes were over, chatting about anything in the late afternoon. What was unusual was that the direction they were talking wasn't back to their house.

After graduating from Hope's Peak Academy together after three years and spending even more time at college, Nikei and Mikado were going to graduate from college together. Not only that, but today was also the day they had begun dating years ago in high school. Never one to forget that date, Mikado had planned this event as both an anniversary and a graduation celebration.

"Hey, did you lose the way? I don't see a bar anywhere around here," the journalist questioned, interrupting his boyfriend's monologuing spiel.

Mikado stopped talking and looked up at the nearest street sign. "It's just one intersection over. There's no way you'll miss it," he replied with an excited smile on his mask. Nikei still didn't know why he wore that mask after all these years, but he guessed it was to fit the dramatic persona he maintained.

Nikei let out a small sigh and continued walking. Mikado did own a car and could've used it to drive them to the bar, but he hated that it made sense not to drive today. He didn't know if Mikado would get drunk, after all.

True to his word, Mikado pointed out the bar as soon as he spotted it. "Ah, there it is. I hope you have your order ready, Nikei," he teased as he walked over to the door. Nikei rolled his eyes as the wizard opened the door and pretended to bow like a gentleman, and he walked inside while pretending not to notice him.

Mikado let out a small huff of annoyance, but he followed the other man towards the front of the bar. Luckily for them - or perhaps, thanks to their luck - the bar seemed to be having a slow day and the bar top had a few empty seats. Mikado and Nikei found seats beside each other, and they called for the bartender.

Mikado ended up ordering a Blueberry Martini while Nikei ordered a Havana Beach, which ended up served to them faster than they expected. As the wizard sipped at his drink, he took a glance at Nikei's drink from the side of his eye.

"'Havana Beach'... Those have very weak alcohol content, don't they?" Mikado remarked.

"Not everyone can have the same alcohol tolerance as you," Nikei scoffed, and lowered his glass. As he watched Mikado drink more of his martini, he suddenly had a thought. "Hey. What's with you getting a purple drink anyway?"

"It reminds me of you. It's the same colour as your eyes, you know."

The blunt reply caught the journalist off-guard, causing him to nearly choke on his drink. "You don't have to say that! Not- Not in here!" he stammered, glaring over at the blonde man as he felt his face start to heat up.

Mikado looked up from his drink and looked over at the one in Nikei's hand. "...Isn't your drink yellow though?" he replied after a few seconds. "At least I can admit it."

"Choke on your stupid goddamn blueberries," Nikei grumbled, and he began sipping his drink again. Mikado finished his own drink and left the glass on the bar top. Looking at the journalist's expression, he opted to let him drink in peace for a bit. His reactions were more amusing when he had some time to cool down first.
