"Imagine Person A giving Person B a back massage to relax them while Person B complains about their stressful day. Person A starts giving Person B kisses on the back of their neck, and Person B can't focus on complaining anymore."

I just want to see them being soft and happy, that's all... Well, this is also a gift for a friend on discord, and based on the art of Chebrizza!

As he sat on the couch and continued his job of hacking, Mikado sipped on his black coffee in his disheveled clothes. He didn't feel like fixing himself up since he wasn't going outside today. He had already stocked the fridge the day before, so there was no need to go on a grocery run.

As his eyes drifted from his computer, he looked around his house, amazed that he and his journalist could afford something as homely as this. Though in hindsight, they both got paid a lot for their work, being graduated Ultimate students from Hope's Peak Academy. They were guaranteed success, so they ended up moving into one house together after they married.

His life was rather peaceful, all things considered. He barely had to leave his house, although his husband had to go out all the time to do his work as  journalist. Even so, Nikei always kissed Mikado goodbye when he was (pretending to be) asleep in the mornings, and he always came back when his work was done for the day.

And speak of the devil, the door opened and closed as Nikei came home, and the hacker smiled as he looked over in the direction of where the sound came from. "Good afternoon. How was today?" He asked pleasantly.

But as soon as the journalist came into his line of sight, he noticed that Nikei was furious and practically shaking with anger. Mikado saved his work and closed his laptop, putting it onto the coffee table in front of him. "My fucking publishers are idiots!" The journalist suddenly exclaimed, sinking down on the couch beside him. "They're fucking saying that I shouldn't interfere when that other fucking newspaper is stealing my work and claiming the credit for themselves!"

"Oh, a case of plagiarism? That's not good." Mikado remarked, taking another sip of his coffee as he gazed at the journalist trembling with anger. "Why don't you contact Kakeru and have him help out?"

"The publishers are saying that a freelance journalist and article publisher wouldn't be able to have enough goddamn funds for going up against a corporation, so I have to do this shit myself!" Nikei seethed. He grit his teeth and crossed his arms. "These assholes, they always look down on people not backed by a corporation, the ones considered 'weak!' This is why I continue my damn job, so no one can do that to me, yet they still do...!"

The hacker decided that now was the right time to intervene before Nikei's train of thought began to spiral, and he put his coffee down on the table. "Duckling, are you worried about funds? You know that I can get those for you, you don't need to worry." He tried to assure, but Nikei's mood didn't seem to improve in the slightest.

"I can get them myself. I don't need help." The journalist grumbled, his body language clearly showing that he had closed himself off. Mikado sighed, Nikei always refused to listen when he was sulking.

Instead of pressing Nikei to answer, Mikado decided to take a different approach. He opened his arm as he leaned on the couch with the other, offering Nikei a clumsy smile. "It's going to be alright, Ducking...I think it will. Why don't you come over here?" He suggested. Nikei silently looked towards him with a glare. He continued, "Today's been stressful, I can see that. Why not relax a little?"

Mikado held his arm out in a silent offer as Nikei held his stare. Without a warming, the journalist suddenly launched himself into the hacker's arms, wrapping his own arms around him for a hug. Mikado returned the hug with a smile, beginning to run his hands through Nikei's hair.

"...I hate you." The smaller man grumbled, but there was a lack of malice in his words as he relaxed his body into Mikado's. The hacker smiled and nestled his face into the journalist's neck, knowing that Nikei did love him, his just had his own ways of showing it.

"I love you too." Mikado replied, moving one hands to rub circles on Nikei's back. He seemed to relax more into the touch, and a relaxed Nikei is more likely to open up and cooperate with given ideas. Holding his husband close to his body, Mikado put more effort into giving Nikei a massage to relax him.

Nikei stayed silent as he continued holding onto Mikado, which the hacker took as a sign that he was enjoying the backrub, but wouldn't say it. If Nikei didn't like something, especially with how mad he was right now, he would put up a fuss and storm off. Instead, the journalist's breathing seemed to even out the longer this went on.

Mikado kissed Nikei's neck and nuzzled his face into him again. "How about you have a rest while I get the funds? You can call Kakeru later, you can't win a court case in a day." He listened for any rebuttals, but found none.

Nikei only huffed and sank into the hacker a little more, both from relaxing and from sulking. To Mikado, that was as good of an agreement as any.
