Happy Valentine's Day! I might not have time to bring you loving couples like last year (blame college tests), but I can bring you a bit of sweetness! With a side of a minor ship lmao.

Warning: needles, spoilers for chapter 3

"Three...two...one!"

Two knives came down and pierced soft flesh, and Kanade grinned maniacally as she gazed upon her handiwork. Hibiki sat motionless beside her as they stared down at the motionless body of Setsuka Chiebukuro.

Kanade knew it would take a while for her to die, and in that time, she needed to confirm the crux of her plan. "Hey, Monocrow! Could you come here a second?" she called towards one of the pool's monitors.

In a second, the bird appeared. "What is it, Ms. Kanade?"

"Could you tell me, between Hibiki and I, who made the last stab here?" The guitarist looked over at Hibiki in her puppet state fondly. "Sis and I have an identical rhythmic sense and can play down to the 0.0000001th of a second, and I don't know how the killing system works."

"Well, it's measured to who made the last wound on the victim. I'll check for you." Monocrow scanned the video footage and files, but soon grew depressed. "The whole system is outputting an error..."

"Hm? What do you mean by that?" Kanade asked.

"It means that the video footage can't be slowed down enough to see the time difference between you two, and the whole system was only meant to register one student as the culprit. I'm sorry," the Corbin apologized, and disappeared.

Kanade sat there in stunned silence before starting to grumble. "Fuck. Maybe I should have checked with him first. I was sure this would work..." From behind her, she grabbed the first aid kit she had taken earlier, fishing out some medical supplies. "Hibiki, hold the kit," she ordered as she opened Setsuka's vest and shirt.

Fixing up the stab wounds took nearly twenty minutes, but Kanade eventually managed to stabilize Setsuka. "She won't die, but she's still lost some blood. She needs to get to the infirmary," she thought aloud, and packed up the first aid kit. "Hibiki, help me carry her."

She went to pick up Setsuka's torso while Hibiki picked up her legs, and it was practically a miracle that they weren't spotted by anyone. It was difficult to carry her up the stairs and into the Monocruise, but certainly not impossible. Despite not being religious, Kanade thanked every god she could think of that the infirmary was on the first floor and close by.

Setsuka was laid down on the infirmary bed, and Kanade went to the refrigerator. "Read out Setsuka's blood type for me," she called to Hibiki.

Still in her puppet state, Hibiki pulled out her handbook and looked at the profiles. "She's a type O," she replied, and Kanade took the corresponding package. She had made sure to not use up all the type O blood packs, just in case Monocrow took too long to tell her she couldn't conduct a double murder.

Kanade took the pack she needed and set up an IV with it. After she attached it to a needle and secured it in Setsuka's arm, Kanade sat down on a chair nearby to take a breather. Setsuka wouldn't die, but now she just needed to create a believable lie for everyone. And that started with her sister.

Kanade went to Hibiki and grabbed her shoulders. "Okay, Sis, you're returning to yourself now... Forget everything, and return to your normal self... Wake up."

Hibiki's eyes remained unfocused for a second, but she soon began to wake up from her dissociative state. "Huh? Kanade, where are we...?" she questioned, looking around in confusion.
