"Imagine that Person B absolutely loves S'mores. Person A has never had one. Cue Person B finding this out, dragging Person A to the store to buy supplies, then dragging them back home to get cooking. Whatever ooey-gooey-chocolate-marshmallow-y mess the two get into is up to you."

Truth be told, this was an experiment to see how many people on Wattpad I could get to fangirl/fanboy over this. No regrets lol

Warning: unsafe fire handling! Please don't copy Emma's methods, you could hurt yourself!

"Why the fuck are you gasping?" Nikei questioned as the actress stared at him in horror. "All I said was that I've never had s'mores in my life."

"That's impossible! Everybody's had one at least once in their life!" Emma exclaimed, bringing her hand to her face. "Well, with your past in mind, you probably wouldn't have as a kid-"

"Let's not talk about my past."

"-but you haven't had one as an adult?!" The actress questioned. "That is completely unheard of! That's it, I am taking you to the grocery store and will be making you a goddamn s'more! Come on!" She declared, grabbing Nikei's wrist and dragging him out the door.

"Huh?! Wait, what-" Nikei never got to finish his sentence before he was pushed into Emma's car, the door nearly closing on his coat. The car sped off as he was buckling his seatbelt, and he couldn't help but internally sigh. Emma was a bit of a scatterbrain - though 'bit' might be understating it - but she had the money that he lived off of by staying in her house. Therefore, he wasn't allowed to complain.

They arrived at the nearest grocery store, and the excited actress dragged him around to get the different things they needed to make them: graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, some balsamic oil (since they were running out anyways), and a box of matches. After Emma bought all of them and thoroughly worried the journalist, they drove back to their house and took all of the ingredients to the kitchen.

"So, what do we do with all of these?" Nikei questioned, putting the ingredients on the counter while Emma took the oil and the matches over to the stove.

"First off, we need to roast the marshmallows, but we need sticks to do that." The actress instructed, getting out a frying pan and putting it on the stove, pouring a small puddle of oil onto its surface. "Since we don't have those, could you get those very long dinner forks? We'll use those instead."

"Sure. Then, we stab the marshmallows with the forks?" The boy inquired, getting out the cutlery and picking up the marshmallows.

"That's correct! You're a fast learner!" Emma giggled, taking the matches as Nikei skewered two marshmallows on forks. She scratched the match against the side, lighting it and grabbing Nikei's attention, then threw it into the pan. The oil caught fire immediately and the flame grew higher than the pan's sides.

"Woah! Aren't we supposed to do this kind of stuff outside?!" Nikei exclaimed. "You're gonna set off the fire alarm!"

"Well, it's a small fire that we can smother with baking soda, so it shouldn't be a problem. And if we're careful, the fire alarm won't go off." The actress explained, taking one of the forks from the journalist. "Now, to roast the marshmallow, we just hold it at the middle of the fire for it to turn golden-brown."

Nikei watched as Emma held her marshmallow in the fire and nervously copied her actions, hoping that he wouldn't have to call Shinji to put out the fire later. As he cooked the marshmallow, Emma gave him small instructions like turning the fork to roast all sides and not aiming the fork too low.

A few minutes later, they took their marshmallows out of the fire and Emma declared them done. "Wonderful! Now, please put one marshmallow on one graham cracker each as I put the fire out." She added. Nikei took her fork, turned around, and took out two crackers, putting each marshmallow on top of them.

As he made sure that they were positioned in the middle likethe perfectionist he was, he felt a hand suddenly touch his shoulder and nearly jumped. "Gah! Don't do that!" He whined as Emma pressed herself up beside him.

"Hehe, sorry. Now, we take two more graham crackers and put a piece of chocolate on them!" The actress smiled as she opened the bar's packaging and took out two squares of chocolate. She handed one to Nikei and took a cracker, placing the chocolate on it and then putting it on the marshmallow. "And then you put it together! Ta-da!"

The journalist copied her actions and held the sweet up. "So, this is a s'more?" He questioned. He hesitated at first, but then shrugged. "Eh, first time for everything."

He put it into his mouth and savoured the taste of the sweets together, enjoying how it practically melted in his mouth. Emma noticed his expression becoming more relaxed and smiled, biting into the s'more of her own.

The actress knew that he would never admit how he really felt about it, maybe downplay and shrugged off how good he thought it was, but she could see it in his expression that he really liked it. Those split seconds where he lets his guard down were the most honest moments that Nikei could show.
