"Your OTP gets paired up in their dancing unit for gym. (This could either go really good or really really bad, it's up to you.)"

This is another trade for Kagameeh, this time with their OC Kagami! I apologize if I accidentally portrayed her incorrectly!

For the students of Hope's Peak Academy, going to class was completely optional. Many students often skipped class, either to practice their talent individually or to be with their friends or lovers.

For Hajime Makunouchi, he didn't bother skipping class. He had been in the hospital for so long and slacked off when he was a delinquent, so he missed a lot of his education. So when the academy offered free tuition in return for him sharpening his talent as the Ultimate Boxer there, Hajime couldn't refuse that offer.

Today, the professor was going to be teaching gym class for a few hours before the daily class would be dismissed, and Hajime wasn't planning on missing it. Overall, the only ones who showed up to class in general were himself, Sora, Yuri, Yuki, Kagami, Setsuka, Emma, and Yoruko. That was still more people than their upperclassmen's class.

After changing into a Hope's Peak Academy gym uniform tailored to his measurements, he went to the giant gym building that was next to the school, where their class would be held. On the way there, he saw his coach upperclassman training his gymnast classmate, Shinji on his morning run, and his sprinter underclassman at the track.

Finally, he entered the gym and took a seat as the others in the class began to appear. One of the people who sat beside him was Kagami, who looked happy to see him. "Hi, Makun! I should've figured that you'd show up to gym class," she giggled, twitching her foot back and forth as she sat. "I don't like gym class much, it's too much for an artist, but it would be weird for you to not show up at all, haha!"

Hajime smiled tiredly, already used to the cheerful girl's rambles. "Yeah, I didn't want to miss class anyway. But I'm not skipping gym class at all," he agreed.

"I wonder why a lot of Ultimate students miss class anyway? Is that allowed?" the purple-haired girl asked, and got a nod in return. "Oh... Well, I don't want to leave my friends all alone, you know! School is rough, but I might as well stick around, right?"

Finally, the teacher arrived in the gym, and everyone quieted down. "Alright class, we're going to be starting a dance unit today. I'll let you guys pick partners, and I'll start the lesson once I get the projector set up."

Hajime watched a mixture of excitement and uneasiness go across Kagami's face, but she launched herself towards him anyway. "Let's be partners, Makun!" she exclaimed. "Sure, school making us do things is annoying, but dancing is fun!"

"Woah there, we still have to wait for instructions on how they want us to dance," Hajime quickly interjected, and Kagami sighed as they turned their gaze back to the teacher.

The boxer and the artist were surprised when they were told that they were going to be taught the tango. Kagami only knew a little, but Hajime knew none of that kind of dance. They kept sitting down and had to watch a class video of how to tango before actually beginning.

"Pourquoi, pourquoi avons-nous dû regarder ça?" Kagami quietly complained, and she quickly stood up when the video was finally over. "So, so? Ready to dance, Makun?"

"Uh, I guess- Woah!" Hajime was suddenly pulled closer by the artist, who giggled and began to get their hands into position.

The teacher gave a small spoken review of how to do the tango, and then finally started the music. Hajime decided to lead the tango instead of the smaller woman, who looked excited as she kept in tune with the music.

While the boxer was more focused on trying to follow the instructions of how to do the dance, the artist he held was more focused on contently following the music and the rhythm they were guided by.

When Hajime eventually had the steps firmly in his mind, he began to dance less rigidly with Kagami, and the two of them began gliding across the gym floor. They were so focused on the dance that they didn't notice the others dancing around them, and they didn't notice how close their bodies were at all.

When the music finally stopped, they were at a loss at what to do until Hajime quickly let go of her. "Sorry, didn't meant to hold onto you for that long," he quickly apologized, chuckling nervously.

"Aw, leaving so soon? I don't mind being held by a muscular man like you!" she laughed, and Hajime blushed as he went to sit down where the teacher was gathering students for their next lesson.

Kagami might have been giggling at Hajime's reaction, but she wasn't giggling at the teacher's third replay of "Cotton Eye Joe."
