As the alarm clock beeped in the quiet room, Sora groaned and rolled over in bed to turn it off. She missed the button on her first try, but managed to hit it on the second. She closed her eyes again and felt sleepiness try to take her over again.

"Hey, Sora! Come on, get up!" she heard a voice say as someone nearby gently shook her shoulders. It took the white-haired girl a moment to wake up more from the shaking, but she eventually recognized the voice as the one belonging to her girlfriend.

Yoruko Kabuya, a Symbol of Hope for the Next Generation that had accompanied her throughout the killing game and gave her a place to stay after she somehow woke up in the real world. Sora thought that she'd at least be on Yoruko's phone at most, but she wasn't complaining in the least.

Sora remembered waking up on a medical bed after spending countless days in the virtual world, not knowing how she got there. She saw Yuki in Akane's Taira standing near Rei Mekaru, the latter holding a clipboard and checking her vitals. She still remembered what the former professor had told her:

"Akane Taira saved my life at the end of our killing game, and I paid her back by giving you information to make sure the Divine Luck couldn't be misused in the end. And then you used the luck to save our lives at the class trial, so I owed you again. Don't ask questions, all you need to know is that I repaid my debt to you."

Yoruko had been overjoyed to see Sora with her, and they went to a bar together as promised back in the killing game. The counsellor had allowed Sora to stay in her house, and they had begun dating after a few weeks of them living together.

Sora rolled back over in bed to look up at Yoruko, who let her share the bed ever since they moved in. It wasn't like they had slept beside each other before they began dating, they shared a cold table once, but seeing her girlfriend in the mornings made them all worth it.

"Morning, Ruko," she teased, watching Yoruko's cheeks go pink as she looked away slightly.

"Y-Yeah, morning," the counsellor stammered out, making Sora smile from how unchanged of a tsundere she was from when they met. "Come on, let's go get breakfast. Rei's taking you to an appointment today."

"Oh, right," the white-haired girl sighed, stumbling out of bed and getting herself dressed. As yet another 'fuck you' to Tsurugi Kinjo, Rei offered to pay for therapy for Yoruko and Sora after their killing game experience. Tsurugi tried to interfere once, but Rei nearly hit him again while reminding him that his actions killed Teruya Otori. Those two had been at odds ever since the killing game.

Yoruko smiled and guided the sleepy girl to the kitchen of her one-story house, knowing that coffee took priority over anything. She was just glad that coffee was being sold again after the Tragedy. While Sora began brewing coffee for the two of them, Yoruko opened her fridge to see if she had any leftovers available.

"I'm surprised that you can sleep soundly, Sora," Yoruko casually brought up, putting some bread in the toaster. "I'm kind of envious, you know?"

"Did you have nightmares again? I guess I'm just used to sleeping through my own nightmares, the only ones I have were from the game and Akane's memories..." Sora trailed off, not knowing where she was going with her train of thought.

Suddenly, she felt herself being hugged from behind by the smaller woman. "Don't worry, our appointments will be soon, and we can discuss them with the therapist then. Yours is today, so you can get it off your chest sooner," Yoruko assured her. "What matters is that we both lived. We stopped Mikado, you're atoning for Akane's crimes, and everything is starting over."

Sora nodded with a small smile, everything really was starting over. The chain of Divine Luck blessings had stopped, the world was beginning to heal from the Tragedy, and she was beginning to separate her own identity from Akane Taira's as much as she could. And maybe everything would be okay one day.

"...Is something burning?" Yoruko suddenly noticed, letting go of Sora and making sure their breakfast wasn't being ruined. The white-haired girl let out a chuckle and took the coffee pot when it had finished. She poured herself a mug of black coffee, then fixed Yoruko's coffee with a couple creams and sugars.

The two of them enjoyed breakfast at a small table, discussing their plans for that day. While Sora intended to just attend her therapy session and go back home, Yoruko still had her job or being a counsellor for survivors of the Tragedy. Her schedule wasn't fully booked though, so they agreed to have a lunch break at a coffeeshop together afterwards.

Finally, they heard the sound of a car horn honking loudly from outside. "...Rei's here," Sora concluded, and went towards the front door. When she opened it, she did indeed see Rei's red car waiting at the sidewalk.

"Your therapy appointment's starting soon, Akane- Fucking hell! Sora!" the professor corrected herself. "Just get your ass in the car!"

"Jeez, how bad was Tsurugi bothering you today?" Sora joked, heading towards the car.

Suddenly, Yoruko appeared in the doorway of the house. "Hey, you're forgetting something!" she laughed lightheartedly.

"...You're right, I did." Sora turned around and ran up to the door, lightly kissing the counsellor on the lips. "There, problem solved."

Yoruko went bright red with blush. "N-no, that's not what I meant, Sora!" she protested frantically, pulling out a small key from her pocket. "Your housekey! Your forgot your housekey on the buffet! Just take it!"

Sora chuckled as she took the key from her flustered girlfriend, giving her another kiss just for good measure. Rei honked her car horn one more time, and Sora laughed as she turned to get to the car.
