The party was in full swing and spirits were high, just as Setsuka predicted.

Hajime leaned back against the wall of the guest house, drinking straight from one of the alcohol bottles he set up. He had already chugged one in front of everyone while being egged on, which seemed to be one of the highlights of the night.

Of course, it was supposed to be five for him. After all, he had filled some of the bottles with water instead of alcohol so he could stay sober for his murder plan. But if he drank water, why was his head spinning? Was it the placebo effect from acting drunk?

He looked out at the other killing game participants inside the guest house. Most of the group had already gone back to the Monocruise, so the ones remaining were himself, Setsuka, Emma, Shinji, Yoruko, Kagami, and Yuri. And the spaceman would be his target.

Mikado selected the boxer to be the first blackened, telling him that he just needed to cause a debate pitting genders against each other and he'll be spared execution. Yuri had announced that he would only allow a girl to kill him, so Hajime had no choice but to wait until they were alone to carry out his murder plan. In the meantime, he kept drinking.

Half an hour later, Yoruko clapped her hands and got the attention of the sober students. "Alright, everyone! We have to head back to the Monocruise!" she announced. "Emma, you get Setsuka; I'll get Shinji; Kagami, go get Yuri-"

"I'll get Yuri, don't worry. I'm sober enough," Hajime spoke up, though he was starting to become less sure as his head grew fuzzier. Yoruko directed the purple-haired girl to held her with Shinji instead.

A few minutes later, everyone was helping each other and out the door, hoping to get back to the Monocruise before the nighttime announcement played and the doors closed. Hajime told Yoruko that he was helping Yuri get to the washroom, and the hostess told him to be quick.

As he planned, Hajime separated from the group, and now was alone with the drunken spaceman. In fact, Yuri was so intoxicated that he didn't seem to notice that a man was the one holding him. Hajime sighed in relief, knowing that his would-be victim wouldn't be able to fight back when he was brought to Uehara bell tower for his murder plan.

But as he went along the dark path of the first island, the world seemed to warp around him. Where was he going? Where was the bell tower? Was this Mikado's doing? Or was this because of the drinks? As his thoughts kept replaying these questions, he began to grow more panicked. At this rate, he was about to get himself lost.

"Hey, dummies! That isn't the way to the washroom!" he heard a voice shout and footsteps getting closer. He saw a blur of purple in his vision, putting together in his clouded mind that the one speaking to them was Kagami. "Come on, let's get back before we get locked out for the night! We don't want to meet any scary monsters!"

He felt hands on his shoulder and felt a bit of pressure on Yuri's body next to him, and he sighed as he let himself be pushed to the Monocruise. With the state of his body and a potential witness beside him, he could no longer carry out the murder he had planned. Defeatedly, Hajime went with Kagami as she guided him and Yuri back onto the ship.

As they reached the stairs in the ship that would lead them to the second floor, the nighttime announcement rang out and the doors shut. "Wow, we really did get here in the nick of time," Kagami sighed in relief, slowly guiding the boys up the stairs as she did before.

When they got up the stairs, Yoruko was waiting outside Shinji's dorm from just putting him inside, and she took Yuri from Kagami to lighten her responsibilities. Now only assisting Hajime, she helped him use his handbook to open the door to his dorm room.

Compared to Kagami, Hajime wasn't doing well. All he could think about was how he failed his one job and that his body was getting weaker. He was walked somewhere and made to sit on something soft, but his head was beginning to hurt. Why couldn't be do anything on his own tonight? Was it the drink? Or was the fear or taking a life making him like this?

He felt something pressed into his hand, and he looked at it. In his blurring vision, he could make out a bottle of...something. His mind was too foggy to concentrate on the loud words that the person guiding him - Kagami, he remembered - was saying to him.

He didn't want the bottle, he didn't want to end up in a worse state. Hajime put it to the side and laid down on the soft surface he was on. He failed. That's all he knew. He could only hope that he wasn't going to mess up the plan permanently. Because if he did...

The lights seemed to darken, shaking him out of his thoughts, and more soft things were being pulled over him. He racked his brain for an answer to what was going on, then he remembered that he was in a bed and the things on him were blankets.

Wandering within his drunken thoughts, he didn't even react to Kagami taking his sunglasses off and putting them beside the water bottle she had attempted to give him. As much as she didn't want to leave him in this state, they all had to get to bed to recover from their hangovers the next day.

Turning off the light completely, Kagami quietly left the dorm so Hajime could rest. The artist closed the door behind her as she hoped that the boxer would get a good rest, oblivious to his distressed thoughts.
