Btw yes thats a really bad edit of lukeisnotsexy as David and this is gonna suck. Feedback would be great and let me know what you think of David please thank you (•~•) *dances away* ALSO 3K READS ILY THANK YOU

It all started when the boy with brown eyes and red hair was 5. David was just a little boy. He was sitting in his room playing with multiple green toy soldiers while down stairs his parents we're busy fighting. But the screaming was something David was accustomed too so he simply dismissed the yelling for another generic argument.

Oh god was he wrong.

Their was a loud bang that echoed around the room, causing the little boy to jump in fright. He trained eyes that looked like mud on his closed door waiting. For what, he didn't know but what he did know was he was scared of that bang... And whatever had caused it.

Several silent minutes later David deemed it okay to going back to playing with his toy. No sounds and no bangs came from downstairs. It seemed like the argument was over. David copied the bang that had come from down stairs as one of the plastic men was shot to death. Being an innocent little boy, David didn't understand the finality of death and thought of it as a game.

Besides, at church they treated death like it was amazing. Going to heaven and meeting Jesus along with other dead family members and all that. To his young mind it was like a party. A party with the people he missed.

So he kept playing pretend until his mom knocked on the door and entered.

"Mummy!" The little boy called, jumping to his short legs and running into her out stretched arms. The lady ran her dirty finger nails through her little boys red hair that matched hers exactly.

"Hi sweetie." The women answered thickly. David wasn't aware the red around her eyes and nose meant she had been crying. Instead he breathed in her flowery smell and hugged her a bit tighter. Some where within his little 5 year old mind he realized this might be the last time he ever saw is mother.

"Listen..." The lady started to say gently, pulling away from her son and looking into his brown eyes. Brown eyes that looked just like his fathers.

"I'm listening Mum." David smiled, trying to prove he was a good boy while looking up at his mother who smiled back.

"Yes you are. You're such a good boy David and I... I need you to stay that way for daddy okay? Because I need to leave for a while..." Tears gathered in the lady's bright blue eyes and threatened to leak over on to her red cheeks.

"But mommy... Why?"

The tired mother quickly swiped at her eyes and took a deep breath. She needed to stay strong for her son, who also looked on the verge of tears. She refused to let David cry as well.

"Don't worry about me." She whispered soothingly and pulled David into yet another hug. "I'll be okay."

The little boy nodded, wrapping his arms around his mother. "Good." She whispered in his ear and pulled away from her trembling son. "I love you honey." She whispered, pressing her quivering pale lips to the boys warm forehead and standing up fully, towering over the child.

"I love you too Mummy." David muttered as the lady with bright red curls just like her sons hair walked from the room. Somehow both of them knew they wouldn't see each other for a while, maybe never.

So the trembling child held on to the image of his beautiful mother, with long red hair that shone in the sunlight. Her head would always be held high and her back would always be straight. He committed her bright blue eyes that were always full of live to memory, and would always think of his mother that way.
