Chapter 23

Kotaro was struggling to stand, and when he collapsed, Kenji rushed over to catch him.

"Tch... I don't need your help, stupid shark." Kotaro muttered, wincing.

"Of course. It sounds like Nanaya."

"Take care of him instead."

"Ah. Would you let me do it? Your injury is more serious."

Starlight and Phen-X had stepped forward too. The headmaster tried to locate the woman in the street by leaning out of the window, without success, and explained to the other teachers what had just happened.

"My vials are in my room on the ground floor." Phen-X said. "I'll go get one."

"No time !" Shadow cut. "Shime-san's injury is important, use your saliva!"

The nurse sighed and knelt beside Kotaro and Kenji. The open wound on his stomach felt deep, but he could close it. However, the teenager didn't appreciate the care on his hand, there was little chance he would let it go this time.

" Its ok." Kotaro growled. "I get it. Do it and quickly."

"I'll have him if he ever struggles." Kenji joked. 

Kotaro gave him the middle finger with a painful smile. He reluctantly let Phen-X lean over him to lick the wound. It closed immediately, but the nurse remained concerned. He asked the young man to stand up slowly, in case an organ had been touched. He was relieved when Kotaro claimed to have no more pain. It was about time he took care of Nanaya. But the width of the wound required a larger amount, so he invited the young man to follow him to heal him with his blood. Unfortunately, Nanaya's and Kotaro's wounds were both deep. Even if he could close them, they still had a scar for life.

The three directors had gathered on their own to explain the situation at the hotel. As they had suspected, the boss told them to leave immediately to avoid another attack. They tried to find a compromise, without success, so they called everyone to announce the end of the trip four days in advance. Many were upset, but all those who had witnessed the attack did not seek to argue and immediately put their things away.

Once again, Uchiri Nanaya's name was on everyone's lips, but not only. Kotaro's heroic deed also did not go unnoticed. Darkeas' students made themselves even more obnoxious to him. He only had the twins and a few students who were only there because they couldn't get into Saurity, due to the lack of power or an ability that might be useless in combat. He therefore continued in spite of himself to hang out with Nanaya, the two girls and Kenji. The twins were often with them too, and sometimes a few other comrades.

A week after their return from summer camp, they were therefore sitting in the dining hall at noon time. Mineko had added Kotaro and the twins to their phone chat group to make it easier to communicate with Rena.

"Hey!" The blonde said. "During the stay, I discovered something."

"That you were a real blonde?" Kotaro growled sarcastically.

"Dumbass."

"Is that all you got?"

"It doesn't matter. Did you know that Starlight and Shadow have been sharing the same room all month?"

"I've heard rumors before." Kenji asserted. "Like what they may even be married. But a villain and a hero? I don't even know if it's legal."

"Well, I confirm the rumor."

"Maybe they just talked?"

"At curfew time, when everyone goes back to their rooms? And every night?"

"Have you spied on them or what ?!" Kotaro exclaimed.
