"Hey. Taguchi-san?" Kohi called. "What is happening ?"
"My guns!"
The girl immediately put down the clothes to retrieve the two guns. She barely had time to hand them to him, he picked them up immediately.
"Is the kid in danger?" Guess Meltdown.
"No trace of the child." Shoko replied then. "On the other hand the parents are in a hell of a shit."
"And what ? You are no longer a cop."
"I don't know where the kid is. "
He sprang up, a gun in each hand and kicked the door open before rushing inside.
"Wonderful, he doesn't know how to use a handle." Meltdown muttered, walking after him.
"His hands are taken." Kohi added.
The young man stuck his head through the door frame and immediately put his hand on his face, almost throwing up in his mask. He pulled back and motioned for Sumira to stay outside. Meltdown rolled her eyes, calling him a petty nature.
Inside, what must have been the living room was completely covered in red. Blood sprawled on the floor, handprints smearing it on the walls and furniture. In the center were two bodies. Probably the couple Shoko hoped to kill. They were already lifeless and without a chance to open their eyes one day. Their throats were wide open, as was their body, from chest to groin.
A naked young man with terribly long hair was kneeling between the two. Shoko pointed his guns at him. He didn't look hurt, but it was hard to tell since he was covered in blood. He glanced up at them as he rubbed his bloody hand over his cheek, as if to smear blood on it. He didn't look very old. The little skin they could see was cadaverously pale, and dark circles lined his eyes.
"The child." Shoko simply said, keeping an eye on the meat knife right next to the young man. "There was a child in this house, right?"
"No children." The boy muttered, licking his hand. "No children here. Shhh. Ahaha. No one has to know."
Meltdown raised an eyebrow. This kid looked like crazy. Even though she didn't see Shoko, she was sure she felt his anger.
The boy in front of them picked up the knife and stood up slowly. Shoko immediately released the safety catches.
"Hidden in the cellar." The young man with the long black hair crooned. "But I broke the chains. I broke the cage. Hehehe."
He took a step forward, and despite his confusion, Shoko immediately fired. But the bullet did not hit the young man. His hair lengthened and hardened, forming a shield in front of him. There wasn't even an impact. The protection was more than effective. They eventually split back to their original condition and length.
"Red. Red." The boy continued. "I want more red. "
He took another step but something crashed into his face. A tomato. Kohi had finally entered despite his loathing for the gruesome scene. With the kitchen only separate from a bar, he spotted the open fridge and picked up the first red thing he found.
"Do you want red?" Kohi called, juggling two more tomatoes. "Wasn't repainting the walls enough?"
Shoko was about to intervene, but Meltdown motioned for him not to move. She was going to look forward to seeing how he was going to do it again. The power of this young murderer was particularly interesting. With just one look, Kohi understood that Meltdown wanted to hire the teenager.
"I just have one question for you." Kohi continued. "Tell me ... is it you, the kid. right ?"
The smile that had faded upon receiving the vegetable, again stretched the young man's lips. As if to silently confirm.
