Against all odds, Nanaya had a great time at his father's mansion. Nakamara must have left for America the next day and followed up with a second trip, so he didn't spend the holidays with him.

Thoki took the opportunity to offer a royal meal to his young master for Christmas. Already aware of the trips planned by Nakamara, he had even bought two presents. The young man had no real passions. He had never seen a movie or played games, so it was difficult to give him anything. He never really celebrated Christmas. The butler had decided it would be different this year, however.

Having obtained the numbers from his friends, he had been able to find out what his favorite treat, green tea yokan, was, and had prepared them himself in reasonable quantities. For his birthday, which fell on the twenty-fifth of december, he had surprised him by inviting Kotaro, Kenji, Mineko and Rena to the mansion. The blonde had even picked up Hyokko at the complex and the creature threw herself into his human's arms, happy to see him again before the scheduled date.

Rena had brought a board game, determined to share it with her friend. They had spent so much time there, while nibbling on the sweets Thoki cooked, accompanied by tea, that they did not see the hours pass by. None of them had said where they really were except Kenji since his mother had nothing against it. The other parents would never have let their children go to Experion mansion. They had all pretended to be at the redhead's and Kahoru had their backs on them if anyone decided to call.

They were seated on the dining room table, the game in the center, each with a cup in front of them. But Kenji's demeanor seemed to change as the hour passed. He was more distracted and glanced around at times, as if drawn to something.

"Kenji-kun?" Nanaya called. "It's your turn."

"Heh? Oh... sorry... say... what time..."

"Oi, stupid shark!" Kotaro cut. "Everything is fine ? "

Kenji was livid. His eyes roamed the room, as if in panic, before finally settling on one point for a moment.

"Not again." He whispered to himself. "Stop ..."

"Hase-kun?" Mineko worried.

He had started to shake and stood up, stepping back, knocking the chair down in the process. He bumped into Thoki who had returned to get their empty cups. Kotaro couldn't help but think of the time when Sutra had touched him with his power. It was the only time they hadn't seen him playful and flirty. Was he suddenly in the grip of a power all over again? It was impossible. No one had that kind of ability here and they had been together all day.

"Hase-san?" Thoki called.

"Sorry... sorry..." the redhead whispered. "Leave me... leave me alone!"

He still didn't seem to be talking to them. He was crying and starting to fidget, as if he was terrified of something they couldn't see. He started yelling for someone to shut up and clapped his hands over his ears. Hyokko got scared and hid behind Nanaya. Thoki tried to calm him down and find out what was wrong, but Kenji pushed him away, albeit falling in his place. He did not try to get up and remained on his knees. He was crying and shaking, his breathing was choppy.

Nanaya passed his childhood friend to rush towards the redhead. He knelt down beside him calling him out. Kotaro was ready to step in if their older comrade was as violent as he was with the immortal, but he was not.

Nanaya put his hands on his, calling him again, softly, prompting him to look at him. Kenji was still sobbing, but stared into the younger man's with gasps. He seemed to calm down. Nanaya pulled him close to hug his.
