The three students turned and Kotaro barely had time to grab his two comrades to avoid the attack on them.
Looking at what had failed to touch them, hair, he didn't see their owner running up to them. Red managed to pull them apart, using his free-flowing hair to send it in three different directions. He then approached Nanaya, who he lifted up, pulling him by the arm, giving him a demented smile.
"It's good to see you again," said the young man, laughing, "we were so late on our mission, I thought someone else would be sent. "
He laughed and licked a drop of blood from a small wound on the magical boy's hand, freezing him in surprise.
"Hey... you taste like honey," he commented.
He couldn't say or do more, narrowly dodging Kotaro's punch. Using his hair to hang from the branches, Red almost seemed to fly.
"Hey!" Tomeo exclaimed. "You're the customer from the other time!"
"I wish Honey had remembered me," Red laughed, pointing to Nanaya.
"What do you want ?!" Growled Kotaro.
"Uchiri Nanaya. "
His smile widens. He had stretched his hair over the branches to reach them from behind and sent it towards the magical boy to grab him, the hair parting like a net.
Kotaro, on the defensive, had heard the abnormal rustling of leaves and the crackle of small branches. He threw himself as quickly as possible on his friend to push him and was taken in his place, the hair tightening around him like bonds.
In a panic, he had used his speed to push Nanaya, who was thrown against the oak tree.
"Damn," Red growled, "wrong target." "
He had settled down and was pulling his hair back towards him, bringing it back to a normal size, except for the part that held Kotaro in place. He was ready to loosen his grip, but a hand on his shoulder dissuaded him from releasing his prey.
Static barely took three steps in Nanaya's direction than he staggered, barely keeping his balance. The whole area had started to shake. Tomeo had completely released his power while running towards Nanaya. With such an earthquake, their classmates and maybe a few teachers would no doubt know it was coming from him.
If the youngest of his opponents seemed not to understand this, Static understood the situation perfectly. They would soon no longer be alone. He had to get hold of the boy they had come for quickly. But Tomeo didn't seem to agree.
He focused his power as much as possible on the man's location with the hope of creating a chasm beneath his feet. Static jumped out of his way. Visibly annoyed, he replied then. A large quantity of electricity escaped from his body. He could hold some of it in his hands without a hitch. A power as rare as manipulating ice.
He didn't give the teen time to defend himself and sent lightning directly at him. It was painful. Tomeo screamed as he fell to his knees, trying to resist. The man with the sewn-on mouth held him still and just nodded towards his young companion.
"Leave..." Nanaya muttered, straightening up, "my friends alone..."
"Don't move Honey," Red ordered with a big smile, "I don't want to hurt you."
Hyokko was in front of his human, but protection from him was non-existent. Nanaya barely glanced at Tomeo when he felt anger wash over him.
Red's hair moving towards him again, he put up a column of ice that was caught in his stead. Then he covered everything in frost, cornering his opponent.
