None of Nanaya's entourage had seen the blow he gave Ichirō coming. In the crowd of students who took the test the day before, Kōtarō let out a cry of victory.
Nanaya was quick to return, going to Shadow to give him his name and number. Even the director of Darkeas, who knew him little, needed a moment to recover. No one would have ever thought Nanaya capable of that.
To everyone's surprise, Ichirō exited shortly after him. When Nanaya turned to him with a questioning look, he raised his hand to show the number six.
"I already had it," he confessed, "I found it almost immediately after entering. But I just wanted to annoy you a little."
This time it was Teiji, standing next to Shadow to heal the students, who slapped the back of Ichirō's head.
Nanaya and Ichirō directly joined the other students after that. Kōtarō was both angry and proud. He wanted to hit Ichirō, but Nanaya had handled it perfectly well himself.
The twins were rather puzzled.
"I don't really understand," Jun muttered, "you never hit Shime-kun, Hase-san, or Ogami-san when they kiss you."
"I don't mind," Nanaya replied simply, shrugging, "but there, I didn't want to."
Kōtarō almost choked on his saliva and coughed, Haru and Jun exchanged a surprised look and Ichirō pouted. Rakko turned his head away. None knew he had kissed him too.
"Nana-chan, you should come see this."
The magical turned to Enko. She was with Yūto and Rena, looking at her phone. She handed the device to her friend, who took a look at it. A news page was open and the reporter was talking about the events that happened during the night.
Nanaya couldn't believe it. His father had been kidnapped and he hadn't told him?
He glanced in his direction. Nakamara looked absolutely no different than usual. He watched the screens and called out to the teachers through his walkie-talkie as if nothing had happened.
He noticed that some viewers also seemed to have seen the news. They were whispering to each other, looking shocked, glancing at the ex-villain.
"Did your father rip his arm off?" Rakko asked pointing to the images of Noni being escorted to the prison.
"Maybe..." Nanaya muttered, "but I'm not sure..."
With only his mechanical arm, he could have easily knocked him out, riddled him with bullets, or broken a limb, but not cut anything. Nanaya's gaze fell on Thoki. He had a few small ink stains on his face, and the power of "Rune", to control his blood made of ink, was a known fact. So Thoki would have done that?
It wasn't that surprising. Having sworn to protect this family, Thoki had compensated for the lack of offensive power by intensive training. He had even asked, three generations earlier, to participate in a year of military service. He had also, over his many years, taken lessons in various combat sports and learned the handling of almost all firearms. Since he was immortal, he threw himself into any situation without hesitation to protect the Uchiri and particularly Nakamara.
But Thoki was always so calm and always showed such sweetness, Nanaya had never seen him angry and he couldn't imagine it.
A clamor of the students of Saurity and at the same time of those of Acadia suddenly arose.
"Hey, isn't that your friend?" Ichiro remarked.
On the screens showing area six, Kenji found a number and headed back to the entrance. At the same time in area three, Callie Ruiz of Acadia had also found one.
