Nanaya took a few seconds to realize the situation. An ice spike erupted from the ground between him and the stranger who let go of his ankle as he pulled away. Nanaya pulled back, still on the ground, wincing. He noticed the pair of binoculars the stranger was carrying around. Shadow's.
"How long ..." the teen mumbled.
The man tugged at his mask, revealing an amused smile.
"Three days." He simply said. "And your teachers just gave me the opportunity I was waiting for. There are no other students around. Most headed for the mountain. "
Nanaya winced. He had to heal his leg as soon as possible. A dislocation can get worse quickly if it is not taken care. He stood up, wincing when he saw the stranger stepping forward and circled his knee in ice to ease the pain. He then focused on his hand, which was covered in frost. The frost spread beyond to form claws of ice.
His opponent slipped his hand behind him to unhook a whip from his belt.
"You're lucky I don't know how to use a gun." He said with a mocking smile. "It would have been much faster."
"You have no power ?! "
Nanaya hesitated. Was it really okay to use his against someone who didn't? This man couldn't really hurt him, he was at a particular disadvantage. Was it really correct to engage in such an unbalanced fight?
"Don't you have any ...?" repeated the teenager.
"What makes you say that, boy?"
"You ... you wouldn't need a gun ..."
"Nanaya! What are you doing ?!" His guardian exclaimed.
Nanaya glanced behind him, ready to explain the situation to him but was stopped by his enemy. The man used the whip as a weapon of capture, the whip wrapped around the teenager's wrists as he pulled him towards him.
Nanaya almost fell. His sudden movement knocked his phone out of his pocket, which the keeper scrambled for, scurrying inside the burrow with it. The stranger noticed, wincing.
"The cavalry will arrive." He growled. "No time."
He grabbed Nanaya's face with one hand, slipping his thumb to force him to open his mouth in order to give him one of his intense kisses.
The young man was so surprised that he didn't think to react. So far, the boys had kissed him by simply putting their lips to his, nothing more. He felt himself blush, but didn't have time to step aside, someone rushed over them to push the stranger away, the stranger eventually landing hard against a tree.
"K~ Kot-chan!" Nanaya exclaimed.
"What are you doing ?!" Growled Kotaro. "Who is he ?!"
"How...?"
"You sent your location to everyone! "
Nanaya glanced over to the burrow, from which Hyokko had emerged. Obviously, sending his whereabouts during a game of hide and seek meant something was wrong. The teachers were therefore going to arrive quickly.
Nanaya remained confused, touching his mouth. He looked up at the man who stood up with a grimace. He looked at Nanaya in turn and seemed to be waiting for something.
"Who are you ?!" Kotaro growled.
"Still alive..." the man muttered.
"What ?!"
Kohi couldn't believe what he was seeing. The young man he was assigned to kill should already be convulsing. And yet he seemed to be in great health. He had no reaction. Not even a tremor.
"It's impossible ..." he huffed. "You should be dead!"
"Heh? Me ?" Nanaya wondered.
"Contrary to what you thought, I have power! My saliva is poisoned! You should be dead!"
"That's why... but I'm immune to most poisons."
Kohi froze. He was having trouble digesting this information. He had never, not once in his life, met someone who was immune. He had long given up on the idea of one day trying to get attached to someone.
With the attack received, he had let go of his whip and was therefore disarmed. No way either of them would let him get close to use his power now. Either way, he finally didn't want to kill Nanaya, no matter what Lord ordered.
"This is really stupid!" Growled Kotaro with a smile. "Attack the S.D.A. with so many professional heroes, by having such ineffective power in combat!"
"Heh. Because you think I'm alone?"
Kotaro winced at his opponent's smile, but it wasn't long before the twins, who weren't too far away, were joined. They too had rushed out of their hiding place upon receiving Nanaya's whereabouts. The others were surely on their way to come too, but from further away.
" You know what ?" Kohi said. "I'm no longer interested in killing him."
"You've tried, that's enough!" Kotaro growled, drawing his blades. "You're not going to get away that easily!"
"Heh. I don't intend to leave like this, don't worry. He's the one I don't want to kill, but you three ... I don't care."
He pulled out of his pocket the same penknife he had when met with Meltdown, but before he could take a step was suddenly twisted in strange ropes and pulled back.
A particularly naked woman stepped forward. A strange tattoo was visible on her stomach. Anyone would have recognized her. Although she was never arrested, the criminal Aranea was famous for her numerous murders, mostly of men, whom she was careful to seduce before. She graduated from Mosdoen, the school for villains in South Korea. Her power allowed her to eject a sort of spider's web from her fingers and tongue. The material, flexible and sticky, changed as soon as it was no longer connected to her body and became hard and as solid as concrete.
"If you can't do it, you don't insist." She scolded. "What didn't you get in that order, Viper ?!"
"Mom ?!" The twins exclaimed with one voice.
"Mom ??" Kotaro repeated, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean "mom" ?!"
"Here, the boils are there too," Aranea observed, looking at her sons.
She sent another thread wrapped around them and tugged on them so that they collided. The collision of the two brothers had knocked them out a bit, but she didn't stop and pulled them brutally against a tree.
Kotaro and Nanaya reacted with the same reflex. The magical threw up a wall of ice between them and the two attackers, cutting the spider's thread in the process, as Kotaro rushed to grab his friends before they hit the trunk of the oak tree, on which he sank, crashed in their place to cushion their shock. They were already half-unconscious and couldn't move their arms because of the solid substance.
"A wall ?!" Kotaro exclaimed. "Nana-chan, you just gave them the opportunity to run away!"
"I didn't think about what to do, it just came out!"
"It doesn't matter! We're taking Haru and Jun to the resort! We don't care about this fucking game of hide and seek!"
Nanaya came to help him, as Tomeo joined them at this point, followed shortly after by Mineko and Rena. They explained as they made their way to the building, where Enko was outside her hiding place, talking to the teachers through the door. For they were stuck inside, all the doors and windows barricaded by the hardened canvas of Aranea.
