While he has been enrolled since his birth in Darkeas, the school of supervillains, Uchiri Nanaya ends up by mistake in Aitori ... the school of the Magical Girls.
Rakko had pulled away from Nanaya and almost ran out of the locker room before his mate could really react. Someone knocked on the door almost immediately and Hyokko opened to take a look.
"Nanaya?" He called. "What was Noken doing here ??"
"He forgot something in his locker."
"I see... the girls are waiting for you in the hallway."
"OK."
Nanaya finished changing and thought about what Rakko had told him. He wasn't thinking about the kiss, he was just wondering if he could really give Tomeo one as a present.
When he left the locker rooms, Mineko, Rena, Yuto and Emiri were waiting for him with their guardians who, like for the showers, were forbidden to enter the locker rooms.
As this class was an exception for this Saturday, neither was wearing their uniform and so was their male classmate.
Mineko offered to end the day by going shopping, but Nanaya told them about Tomeo's birthday at that point. Of course, Rakko knew about it because they were in the same class.
The four girls didn't have any presents either. It was Emiri who had the idea to go to the kitchen. With Chef Josuke's permission, they could bake a cake for him together.
Nanaya assured them that he already had something for their fellow Saurity and, given his disastrous cooking skills, it was best that he refrained from helping them.
So they parted ways, the girls heading to the dining hall while Nanaya texted over the phone to find out where his friends were.
Kotaro was the first to respond to the group conversation and Nanaya went to join them in the foyer, a room with sofas, armchairs, a few tables and games, so that the students could relax between two lessons.
They were almost all there, slumped on the sofas and Tomeo opened the present of Rakko, a small felted fox that the young man had made himself.
Nanaya joined them. After what Ita had done, each member of their little group of friends had struggled to trust each other again and the tension had been palpable for several weeks. Fortunately, they had calmed down. Even though Nanaya seemed to notice a few suspicious looks between his friends.
When he came up to them, they all greeted him. Nanaya responded by explaining that the girls were up to a surprise and then approached Tomeo.
"I didn't know it was your birthday," Aitori's boy mumbled, "sorry ..."
"It's okay," Tomeo assured, "did you see Noken's gift? It's adorable! I love foxes!"
"Yes, it's cute. Happy birthday Ogami-san."
He had to grab the collar of his shirt to make him bend down and put a quick kiss on his lips. All the boys present, as well as Enko, were speechless, especially Tomeo, unable to understand. Hyokko also froze. Kotaro got up from the couch, furious.
"Can I know what you're doing ?!" He exclaimed. "Why you..."
"Oh, I don't have a present," Nanaya explained innocently, "so Noken-san told me that would be enough."
Rakko stiffened as Kotaro turned to him with a murderous expression. He was ready to get up and run, but the girls came in at once screaming "Happy Birthday" with a cake in their hands. Tomeo took advantage of this intrusion to restore calm, thanking the girls enthusiastically.
"It looks delicious !" He asserted. "And I know a lot about cooking, believe me."
"Chef Josuke helped us," Mineko confessed, "we couldn't have done it without him. But we didn't want to take too long so there is no frosting. It's just a classic chocolate fondant ..."
"It still looks good."
Tomeo smiled at them and let them put the cake on the table. They didn't have any candles. Mineko took the opportunity to show the fruits of her training. She presented her open hand to Tomeo. At the end of each finger was a small pink flame. His fellow Saurity chuckled and huffed on them to turn them off.
They chatted for a while in the room, enjoying the dessert carefully prepared by the young ladies of Aitori. Dessert successful, and Tomeo did not fail to compliment the girls. Enko was a little disappointed, she would have liked to participate in its preparation too, but the only ones who knew about the anniversary were Kotaro, Monaka and Rakko, since they were in the same class. Only Rakko and Monaka had offered him anything however, apart from a few other comrades who were not with them in the foyer. Kotaro didn't care and continued to claim that they weren't friends. Enko, Mineko and Emiri pointed out to him several times that he was really not pleasant, and although he yelled at them back, they continued to remind him that he and Tomeo still made a good team in practice.
After a moment, visibly annoyed, Kotaro stood up and grabbed Tomeo's arm to make him do the same.
Kotaro led him out of the room. Fearing he would hit him, Nanaya also got up to follow them, calling for his childhood friend.
Kotaro dragged his classmate out of the school, despite his protests and Nanaya's calls. He led her towards the forest, to the famous pond. In this place was a canvas bag, hanging from the lowest branch of the oak tree. Kotaro finally let go of his comrade, grabbed the bag and threw it on him.
"Here !" He growled. "Don't come complaining anymore! "
Tomeo raised an eyebrow. When he pulled out the contents, he and Nanaya were surprised and relieved.
It was a teddy bear that Kotaro had made. He had improved significantly since Nanaya's. This one wore a perfect replica of Tomeo's hero costume.
"Did you really do this for me?" The young man muttered.
"If you're not happy," Kotaro growled, "tell me before you throw it away, let me get the material!"
"No !! You're joking ! I love it ! I'll call it mini-Sisma!"
Tomeo gave him a big smile that, in the eyes of his comrade, made him look like a fool.
"But you know," Tomeo finally added mockingly, "a kiss from you would have been enough too."
He didn't laugh for long, when Kotaro grabbed his collar, looking furious.
"I'll give you a head butt to knock you out instead!" He growled. "And don't you dare kiss him just once!
"Calm down Doggie, I was kidding!"
"What did you call me, Bulldozer ?!"
"Are you the only one who has the right to give nicknames to everyone? Give me one good reason not to call you Doggie."
Kotaro let go a hand to hit him but Nanaya stopped him, begging them to calm down once and for all.
As they finally made their way back to school, a hysterical laughter froze them.
