3rd September 1980

My daughter was finally born on September 2nd at 3:40 am. Her name is Accalia Hope Black–Lupin. It took Cass and I quite a long time to figure out her first and last name. We had already said that if she was a girl, her middle name would be Hope, after Cass' mother. It took us a long time to decide if we wanted to put both our last names or just one. We ultimately decided since we aren't married, yet, we would just put them both. Her first name was by far the hardest. It took close to two hours till we finally decided on Accalia.

     Accalia.

Cass wanted to name her after her father and Remus. We were thinking Luna, but that was her middle name and she wanted the first name to be unique. We finally came to the name, Accalia, right before she fell asleep as she was exhausted from the labour.

Accalia is of Greek Origin which means, Mythical Greek Name. She was the foster mother of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome. I don't completely understand where she has this type of information stored, but I've learned to not question her.

One thing that did confuse me, making me slightly question her, was after she did a reading on Accalia. I don't understand her whole seer, tarot card, thing. I believe in her, but I don't exactly believe in a few cards being able to tell someone's future. But, Cass fully trusts and believes it, so I take her word for it. After all, this is her birthright.

But this one was different. She did a reading on Accalia and I didn't see the cards. Even if I did, I wouldn't understand them, but she seemed alarmed and worried. This seemed different.

This morning, after she woke up, she seemed slightly off. She told me she had a dream of someone—I'm not sure who, as she didn't tell me—telling her to do a reading on Accalia. She did her thing with her cards, having me have Accalia touch the cards every few seconds. She did her thing and as I was holding Accalia, she had said something under her breath. She seemed slightly worried and scared. I tried asking her what was wrong, what she saw. She didn't tell me anything and just shook her head. She passed me a certain card and it just felt...weird. It gave me a weird, sorta, of feeling.

I believe in the voice in Cass' head, I believe in her dreams, but the tarot cards are something I just couldn't wrap my head around. For some reason, I was worried about what the cards read. I tried having her tell me what it was, but she just shook her head and said it was nothing, but she seemed to be in a trance of sorts. Remus, Sirius, and Cece then walked in, ready to see their niece, and she quickly fixed her cards into a pile, taking the one from my hand.

When they had left, I had tried to get her to tell me what she saw, but her exact words were, "It was nothing. Sometimes these readings are just off. Since Accalia is so young, it wasn't a good enough reading. I just need to try again in a few years. Hopefully."

This reading was different then most she has done while I was around. It felt so...weird and dark. It felt unsteady.

This is my last entry. From here on, I am going to start writing to Accalia, my little princess, in a separate journal, just in case. The war is getting worst by the second. Everything is unsteady and nothing is certain.
