I sat beside Layla on the bed, "Layla who was that? I heard you yelling?""Its just some silly guy trying to provoke me", she sighed "he was like 'my love when can I see your beautiful face?'", she mimicked him. "I don't even know how he got my number". she added.
"Layla, if you don't like someone, you don't avoid them by yells, you avoid them bit by bit with excuses till they loose interest in you". I said.
She sighed. "He was this guy, that kept bothering me at school. I'm really fed up with him, I will just have to block him". She laid back on the bed "thanks though".
"Alright then". I scrolled through my phone "can you imagine that Halima tried to flirt with Salim today!".
"Whaat!?" She sat properly "that piece of a girl, she is so shameless". She paused "I mean, Salim will have nothing to do with her, he dislikes such kinds of 'fake' ladies throwing themselves on men". She said.
"I don't really know what was wrong with her". I sighed "So what are we wearing for the outing?" I asked.
She checked her wrist watch. "Its 2pm, so we can make it to a mall, I have to buy a cloth to wear". She said.
"You can wear mine or we can just drive to your house to get one". I said.
"Okay, but lets have a ladies outing before Salim comes and Ammi can take us, we can go to ice cream parlor or maybe branch the mall, you know we won't have free time when we resume school". She stated.
"Hmm! Alright we should go then". I wore my veil and we strolled downstairs. I gently opened the prayers chamber along the living room with Layla behind and met with her reading the holy Qur'an. "Ammi did you want to eat your lunch now?" I asked when she finished reading and kept the Qur'an.
"I don't have appetite now, but later". She answered.
"Okay we are going out to the mall, can you come with us, I longed going out with you". I pouted.
"La taqlaq.don't worry, I will be fine habibti".
"No Ammi, please lets go". I pouted.
She sighed "Okay, let me get dress". She beamed "where are we going?" She asked.
"We can go to ice cream parlor". I responded.
"Okay". She stood and walked upstairs.
"Do you know that Aunty Safiyya bought me a kitten, and she said she will buy you one". Layla stated.
"Really!" I exclaimed.
She face palmed. "Ohh! that is supposed to be a surprise".
I chuckled "You spoiled it then".
"I thought you don't like cats".
"No, I do love them, who wouldn't? and besides I love animals". I said. If I should pet, I will choose dogs but they are not Islamically acceptable to pet, though I love cats too.
"Alright then, When is our result coming out, I can't wait to see mine". She said.
"I don't... Oh my god! Ammi you look stunning". I said looking at Ammi who was wearing lilac colored Abaya with rolled veil. (I'm surely her replica) I thought.
"Ammi you look beautiful" Layla complimented.
"MashaAllah, shukran habibtees.Thank you habibtees". She beamed "can we go now?"
"Sure". We chorused. We Strolled out and hopped in the car.

"Ammi please can we go the mall after going to the ice cream parlor?" Layla asked Ammi.
"Sure, Ikhi lets go to the mall after then". Ammi said and I nodded. I glanced at layla through the rearview mirror while she pulled her tongue at me.
"Don't worry, I will get you back for this". I rolled my eyes and she chuckled.
I parked at the parking lot with layla jingling like a little baby. We bought scoops of ice cream and sped out to the mall as I sternly parked at the mall parking wondering why it was so overcrowded. We later shopped bunch of clothes which was not what we intended but layla persuaded me in buying some for myself.
"Yalla give me the keys let me drive out of this crowded lot before you finish". Ammi said and I handed her the keys.
"Layla lets go before you park all the clothes". I said. We paid for it and headed out while Ammi was nowhere to be found. I smuggled out my phone from my purse and called Ammi but no answer. I felt my heart racing, called her again but still no answer.
I dropped my bags of clothes "Layla Ammi is not answering her phone". I said breathlessly to layla.
"What?! No, let me try calling her, maybe she is trying to park somewhere else". Layla said dialing her number but still no answer and we sauntered to the gate.
"Hi please, did you notice a black Mercedes parking somewhere else or maybe did you see it exiting". I asked the securities.
"No madam, there is a lot of cars in and out today, I didn't get to notice it". One answered and I heaved.
"But I think I saw two or three women sped out with that kind of car, but its likely not the one" the other security said.
"Did you get to see their faces?" Layla asked.
"Uhmm! Yeah one is like an Arab, she is very fair". He answered.
"Subhanallah its Ammi". I said to Layla.
Buzz buzz...
My phone vibrated and I quickly answered it."Ammi!" I said relieved when I hear her voice. "What is wrong, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Can you come to the general hospital?" She asked.
