Days passed after having much fun, mostly with the twins, touring in the city while Aunty was getting more tired because her big bump was what surprised me the minute I saw her at the door, because I never thought for just some months without seeing her she would be heavily pregnant, and I wondered how I didn't get to noticed when she came to our house then. I laid back on the bed staring at the ceiling while the twins were at school, when I heard my phone vibrated."Hello Ammi, I wanted calling you now, how are you?".
"I'm fine Ikhi, Aunty Salma and your cousins called that they are traveling to Abuja this weekend". She stated.
"Ohh! really, I can't wait Ammi!". I said excitedly.
Aunty Salma was my Ammi's step sister, with her two daughters (Lujaina and Wajdan), who were living in Egypt, actually Half_Nigerians since their dad was also a Nigerian too, who works there.
Ammi ever told me that Aunty Salma and her husband met at her wedding while getting married a year after Ammi's. They were one of my best cousins, and they have been my best friends whenever we travel to Egypt (to my grandfather). They were also one of the dazzling ladies, that are usually mistaken as twins but Lujaina was older than me and actually years older than Wajdan.
"So if you can come back, maybe tommorow to meet with them".
"Yes that was what I was planning, I miss you".
"I miss you too habibti, we will talk later".
"Okay bye". I hung up.
I sauntered to Aunty's room who was busy eating her 3rd plate of salad while watching one of her series and she looked up, beaming with full mouth.
"Ikhbal do you need something? you know the house gets boring when the twins are in school". She stated when she finished chewing.
"No, I'm not bored Aunty". I paused and sat beside her "I just want to tell you, that I'm traveling back to Abuja tomorrow".
"Oh! I thought you will leave it till Sunday (next tomorrow)".
"Uhm.. Actually Ammi called that Aunty Salma and my cousins are coming to Abuja tomorrow".
"Ohh! That is great, but lets have fun today before you go". She said excitedly.
She stood up, dropped the bowl of salad and headed to her closet. I watched silently before she came back with a wrapped pack of clothes and dropped it beside me on the bed.
"My tailor brought your Ankara yesterday".
I looked at the clothes and noticed that they were the bunch of Ankaras Aunty bought days when we went to the mall and gave it to her tailor that he will sewed them, but that's fast.
"I actually told him to sew it fast, since you are going this. weekend". She said, like she heard my thought.
"Aunty thank you so much".
"You don't have to thank me, and besides you will give rest in wearing your Abayas".
I grinned sheepishly "Ohkay Aunty". She just shook her head knowing that, that was very much impossible.
"So where do you want us to go today?". She looked at me "before you go" she said dolefully.
I smiled "Aunty you don't have to worry I'm surely coming back for my nephew here". I said smiling at her bump.
"You and the twins have already declared that it is a boy". She shook her head amazed.
"I guess we will be right then".
