"I don't know you knew each other". I said glancing at both of them."Yeah, you know, this dude has been my friend back in school, and I can't imagine after years of loosing contact, I will see you here... with my sister!" Salim said looking at Zayn amazed.
"Right! I'm just her friend and that will be your fault because I have spent ages searching for you".
"My bad, so how is everything, life I should say?"
"Life has been great Alhamdulillah, and where is that nut head Khalil?" Zayn asked.
"He is fine, he is actually in Abuja, so if we can meet sometimes". Salim said.
"I would love to". He smiled, "I didn't know blue eyes was your sister, cause I always known of your little bubbly one".
"Ohh! she is Layla's best friend and layla is more bubbly now". We all laughed.
"And Zayn is getting married soon", I Interjected whilst they both glanced at me.
"Woww! Is that so? Who is the lucky lady?" Salim exclaimed.
"Well she's an angel from the heaven and for the wedding, you can be my best man".
"I will be honored". Salim said. They exchanged contact and he left.
"Ikhbal". Halima said coming towards me with Zainab beside.
"Halima how was the exam?"
"It was kinda difficult, but it will be opposite to you since you are on the nerd group". She said smirking.
"Not at all, how was yours Zainab?"
"It was great". She smiled.
"And you don't tell me you have a boyfriend". Halima said looking at Salim who was busy with his phone.
"Actually he is Layla's brother". I responded.
"Hey handsome". She said softly shamelessly staring at him.
He glanced at her "Hi". He moved a bit distance.
She shrugged "Okay we have to go, and by the way have a lovely day". She smirked and walked away, Zainab looked at me pitifully before following her. I felt weird with the way she smirked but I just shrugged it off. Layla auspiciously walked to us with a grin.
"What is the smile about?" Salim asked.
"What? I'm just happy that I'm finally through with my exams". layla said cheerily and he shook his head "So can we go now?". We all hopped in the car.
"So how was the exam?" Salim asked.
"It was bit difficult but we hope to all pass it". Layla answered.
"Well the plastered grin on your face says otherwise but wish you both all the best".
"Thank you", we said in unison.
"Layla I'm having a massive business trip to New York in two days, so I will need your prayers". Salim said.
"Okay I will pray for your safety..."
"And success", he cuts in.
"And success", she repeated. "So what will you buy for me in New York?" Layla pouted.
I had always wanted siblings, a brother and a little sister as I usually dreamt myself playing with them and having someone to share my love with. I used to dress my dolls when I was younger and showing them to Ammi, telling her how I will dress my little sibling if she gave birth to one, expecting her to give me a younger brother or sister since layla had one but that never happened, so I gave up anticipating.
"Pretty?" Layla said looking concerned.
"Yes?", I looked her way.
"What is wrong?".
"Nothing".
"Well, Salim was asking you what to buy for you when he travels?" She stated.
I smiled "Ohh! Thank you".
"So, what do you want?" Salim asked.
"Uhmm! Anything is fine". I said. We hopped out, waved at Salim and walked into the house.

"Ikhi, you know your Aunty Asiya called me that she is expecting again". Ammi stated.
"Really!!" I squealed. "Oh my god! I can't imagine Hanan and Manal are getting a baby sibling". I said beaming.
"Yes that is amazing!", she said grinning, "How was your exam?" Ammi asked.
"It was great, thank god".
"MashaAllah, you should call your Aunty". She said whilst I nodded, scrolled through my phone and saw her missed calls.
I dialed her number. "Hello Aunty", she responded. "I missed your calls, how is Hanan and Manal?".
"They are fine, when are you finishing your exams?". She asked.
"I just finished, I really need your prayers Aunty".
"I will do that by god grace darling".
"Thank you, I heard that I'm going to have a baby cousin again". I said excitedly.
"Yes, can you imagine that the twins are asking if its going to be a brother or sister".
"Oh my god! They must be very happy". I said with a teary eyes. I felt my heart filled with joy for them because having siblings is a blessing.
"Sure they are, so when are you coming to Kaduna?" She asked.
"Soon Aunty, I will just have to ask Abba, I really miss the twins though".
"Okay, I will ask him for you too".
"Alright, send my love to the twins and my little cousin to be".
"Will do that, goodbye dear". She said and I responded. I hung up and kept the phone on my lap, sitting beside Ammi on the cushion. "Ammi, when is Abba coming back?" I asked.
"He will be back tonight, maza khadi'a Ikhi?. what is wrong Ikhi?" Ammi asked.
"Ammi, Aunty said that she will ask him if I can go to Kaduna for the holiday".
"La taqlaq.Dont worry, he will let you go habibti". Ammi assured.
"Alright and we will be going to dinner with Salim". I said.
"Ok, no problem but don't stay long".
"Sure, let me go to my room". I stood, pecked Ammi on the cheeks and walked upstairs to my room. I heard Layla yelling through her phone and I hesitantly entered the room, while she hissed and hung up.
