"Ikhbal habibti, your Aunt called me that she wants you to travel to Kaduna for holiday". Abba stated.
"Yes, Abba I forgot to ask you". I said.
"No problem, when are you going?" He asked.
I watched Ammi who was sitting beside Layla and she smiled "Next week InshaAllah".
"Okay then, inform me when you are going".
"Okay, Abba thank you". I said and he smiled. I walked to my room with Layla behind.
"Pretty, lets watch a movie". She said walking towards the TV "Ohh! You have Anime". She said and played one (Death note). She jumped on the bed watching.
"Pretty, I've been yearning to go out, lets go somewhere". Layla said after watching several episodes.
"I really don't want to go out, lets watch the next episode". I said trying to play the next episode.
"No I'm tired of watching". She pouted. "Wait, I have an idea lets go to my house, you can see my kitten. I didn't get to name it, so you can suggest a name for it". She stated her eyes gleaming.
"Okay". I said not wanting to make her feel bad because I would prefer to stay in my room cocooned in my bed.
She squealed "lets go then". She said standing whilst we walked downstairs to the kitchen where Ammi was cooking.
"Ammi the aroma is amazing, I'm surely not gonna miss this". Layla said beaming.
"Yes please, don't go home today, I will tell your mom that you are staying for the weekend". Ammi said.
"Okay, we will go see my kitten, I will be back InshaAllah".
"Okay habibti, Ikhi khayf tasheur?.Ikhi how are you feeling?". Ammi asked coming close to my face.
I smiled "I'm fine Ammi, don't worry".
She pecked my forehead "Okay habibti, will you eat your lunch now?".
I shook my head "No I'm okay Ammi", I smiled. "Can we borrow your car? We are going to Layla's house". I asked.
"Yes sure, your Abba actually called the mechanic, he said he would bring your car tomorrow". Ammi stated.
"Okay! Thank you till we come back then". I said beaming, I really missed my car.
"Bye habibtees, greet your mom for me layla". Ammi said to layla and continued cooking.
"Okay Ammi". She answered. I took Ammi's keys and we sped out.
"Pretty, whose car is that?". Layla asked pointing at the black tinted car at the side of our house.
I looked at it through the side mirror "I don't know layla". I felt strange about the car but I just shrugged it off.

"Ohh! my little cutie pie". Layla said picking her kitten who immediately came to her "Did you miss your mom?" She asked the kitten, and it meowed as if it understood what she said.
"Layla is it male or female?" I asked rubbing it back, and it snuggled into her wrapped arms.
"He's my baby boy". She said and I laughed.
"You sure are a good mother leaving your sluggish son behind". Yusuf said coming toward us "Sallam, Ikhbal". He said and I responded.
"Don't you dare call my darling sluggish". She warned rubbing her kitten.
"I really suffered from his meows, what's his name even?". He asked.
"Hmm! Let me see". She hold her chin watching the kitten while he was looking at her like he was curious to know his name too and I chuckled at them. "Pretty what should I name him?". She asked and I shook my head as (I don't know). She paused watching him. "Lets call him blue". She said and we were all shocked.
"What?!" Yusuf and I both said and I started laughing.
"You are not serious right?" Yusuf asked.
"Yes I am, my favorite color is blue, so he will bear it". She said and turned to him "Because you are my favorite, baby blue". She said rubbing his back.
"You really have a great name little fellow". Yusuf teased.
"Hello blue" I said carrying him from her and he snuggled.
"So I forgot to ask, how was your exams?". Yusuf asked.
"It was fine, Alhamdulillah, when are you resuming to school". Layla asked.
"Monday!" He said wearily. "I'm entering a new class". He said, he looked younger even with him being in the junior secondary section, since layla was much older than him.
"Best of luck". I said to him.
"Best of luck to you too". He said and smiled. We strolled upstairs to Layla's room, where I kept blue on the bed.
"Layla, I didn't see your mom or Aunty Safiyya". I said.
"Mom should be at the hospital and Aunty Safiyya must be out too". She said.
"Okay". I said and walked out to the balcony, I inhaled the garden's fragrant air, and stood watching the beautiful sky sprinkling its beauty and peaceful nature. I watched the sunset and the sky was biding it goodbyes.
"Pretty are you okay?" Layla asked joining me.
My heart felt empty but looking at the therapeutical sky was filling a part of my heart. "The view is amazing". I said leaning against the rail.
"Yes I love watching the sunset". She paused. "Ikhbal, I know what happened yesterday will distraught you, but I know you are stronger than it, you are way more better off without him. He will surely regret what he did to you, but you know what? We will always move farther and happier". She stated.
"I really don't want to talk about it, but thank you, thank you so much". I hugged her. "Lots of love bestie". I said and we both laughed. We heard a honk and Aunty Ruqayya (Layla's mom) drove in. We strolled downstairs and met Layla's mom and Aunty Safiyya cheerfully walking in with shopping bags. We welcomed them and helped them took the grocery bags to the kitchen.
"Mom, I thought you went to work today?" Layla asked.
"Not really, I got a break for this weekend, so I can rest a bit". She responded.
"Ikhbal do you like cats? I mean I want to buy you one, but I thought of asking you first". Aunty Safiyya said.
"Ohh my god! Aunty I love cats, thank you". I said hugging her, "I'm tired of Layla oppressing me with her blue". I added and we all laughed.
"Wait! Her what?" Aunty safiyya asked.
"His name is Blue". Layla answered.
"Ohh! Layla!". Aunty Safiyya face palmed, and we all laughed.
