Ikhbal's POV.
4 MONTHS LATER.
"Good morning". An aged looking woman said walking into the pharmacy.
"Morning ma'am". I smiled as she sat down. She explained her clinical features whilst I listened carefully, asked her some questions and prescribed medicines for her.
"Thank you dear, you are one of the kindest pharmacist I've met so far". She beamed.
I smiled back. "Thank you and may god ease your sickness with quick recovery".
"Ameen thank you and may Allah reward you with the great work you are doing". She prayed whilst I smilingly thanked her and she walked away.
"Thumbs up to our greatest pharmacist". Zainab said walking into the pharmacy.
"That will add up to your good work in this hospital pharmacist Zainab".
She brushed off her shoulder while I shook my head laughing. After our Graduation, we were luckily employed in the same hospital with Zainab and she has been nothing but a good friend to me.
"Alright I guess I'm done for today". I said standing as my shift has ended.
"Did you meet Doctor Sadiq today". And I shook my head. "I just heard that he lost his mother 2 days ago, so I gave him my condolence".
Sadiq was surprisingly the Head doctor at the hospital I was employed and he has been a great doctor in the hospital, perhaps we let go of our past indifference and we were on a new page of good friends.
I looked at her wide eyed. "Subhanallah!.Oh my god! I didn't know about that, I feel so sorry for him, she was the only parent he had left!".
"Right, that is so unfortunate, may Allah makes her final abode Jannatul firdaus(Paradise)". Zainab prayed whilst I responded, bade her goodbye and strode to Doctor Sadiq's office.
"Sallamu alaikum. Peace be upon you". I said entering, meeting him head on the table. I stood as he doesn't acknowledged me and knocked the door.
He swiftly raised up his head. "Ohh! Ikhbal come in". And I sat opposite his desk.
"I heard about your lost, I'm so sorry that you lost your mother, she was a very kindhearted person I've knew and I pray may Allah makes her final abode Jannatul firdaus(Paradise)". I prayed.
He smiled faintly. "Ameen thank you so much Ikhbal".
"And all she needed is our prayers, so never burden her soul with your mourn". He nodded, thus I knew and encountered the loss of a love one in life and the pain to it.
"Your words mean so much to me Ikhbal, thank you". We locked eyes for a moment and I looked away.
"I will take my leave then, goodbye Doc.". I exited the office, strode to my car and drove home.
"Ikhbal dear, how is work today?". Aunty Safiyya asked entering the kitchen with Blue_eyes in her arms.
I gulped down the juice I was drinking. "It was fine Aunty, where is Abba?". I asked.
"He must be in his study, he just can't do a day without being there". She beamed.
However it has been months now when the knot between Aunty Safiyya and Abba was tied as she was now legitimately my step_mom and a wonderful one. Perhaps she has been a great Family to Abba and I, which I never dreamt of, hence she was the kindhearted and beautiful being I had ever imagined.
"Alright let me just go and rest, will meet up with him later". I patted Blue eyes and exited the kitchen to my room.
"Aunty, won't you eat your lunch now". Raliya said meeting me on my way to my room.
