She watched Abba stunned for a moment before blinking repeatedly. "What?! No.. I mean, why would you say that?". She asked with a glimpse of hurt. "I wouldn't want to do that to Ikram and her daughter here!". She pointed at me.
"I mean, don't get the negative idea on that, my wife Ikram is late and marrying you would caressed the pain of losing a motherly figure in Ikhbal's life and not just that but personally I would be honoured to experience a marital stage with you, not just because of any reason but because I want to and I'm saying it for you to have thought over it Safiyya". He stated.
"And I assure you that, you being Abba's wife will be my greatest dream come true because not just because of your kindhearted self but because I want you and only you to concur that role in our lives". I added whilst she watched both I and Abba dumb stuck.
"I.. I don't know what to say". Aunty Safiyya said.
"You don't have to say anything now, please all I need from you is to make a thought on it". Abba said whilst I kept mute, waiting for what she had to say.
"Ok". She said at last.
"Thank you". He thanked her whilst she hesitantly stood up, bade us goodbye and walked away.
"Abba, all we have to do is pray for the best". I smiled at him.
"InshaAllah.By God grace". He smiled back and we also headed home.
The moment we entered the living room, we met Raliya's mother seated and the person beside her that halted me from walking was a skinny looking Kawu Faruq whilst he quickly gazed off from us. Sensing Abba walking into the living room, I shrugged off the surprised look on my face and I walked behind him.
I greeted Raliya's mother, and with a dubious look. "Good Evening Kawu". I greeted Kawu Faruq.
He raised his head. "Evening Ikhbal". He uttered coldly.
"Can I ask why you are here?". I asked Kawu Faruq.
"I.. Uhmm..". He stuttered.
"Actually, I decided to travel here to show my gratitude on what you have been doing to my daughter and I couldn't but feel like whatever I say or do will never be enough because all you have ever showed to me and my daughter is goodness". She interjected looking at me and Abba. "All I can utter right now is prayers upon both of you and Aunty Ikram (may Allah makes her final abode jannatul firdaus), that Allah shower you with his blessings and may all your prayers be answered".
"Ameen". We chorused.
"And about Kawu Faruq..".
"Aunty welcome". Raliya cuts in her mother walking into the living room whilst she halted at the sight of Kawu Faruq.
"Raliya I've been calling your phone but it wasn't reaching, we just traveled here not long ago". Raliya's mom explained after Raliya released her from a hug.
Raliya sat beside her. "I was bathing and maybe it was the network the call wasn't reaching". She explained and avoided looking the one person, I, myself doesn't expect.
"Let me give you guys space". Abba said and walked to his chamber.
"Raliya, Kawu Faruq came here to talk to you". Raliya's mom said whilst Raliya looked at me questionably and turned to Kawu Faruq.

"When I left this house after shattering my ties with you Raliya solely because of my selfish interest which was to marry you off for money. I had a massive loss in my agribusiness, with which I used to live and cater for my family and I know the reason of that disastrous situation because all I ever did to you and your mother was hurt you in hypocritical ways". He lowered his head obviously in regret. "And I and my Family found it hard to consume a meal a day talk less of 3 meals, and I know not of any solution but to ask for you and your mother's forgiveness". He paused.
