"Ikhbal why aren't you dress? And are you okay?". Wajdan asked entering the room."Yes I'm fine, I will dress up now". I said and sat in front of the mirror. The morning after the bridal shower was not favorable for me because I woke up feeling disquieted with not a single reason to why.
"Okay, the wedding Fatiha is still holding in the mosque, so dress up before it is done, you know people will swam in after that". She stated fixing her Ankara head tie, which we were all wearing Ankara before the reception.
"Alright I will just do my make_up later for the reception".
"Hello ladies!". Layla said entering the room.
"Heyy! You look beautiful". I said.
"Very beautiful". Wajdan complimented.
"Awwn! Thank you guys, why aren't you dress yet pretty? I thought I was late because Salim had to come early for the wedding Fatiha, so he couldn't wait for me". Layla stated.
"I'm just dressing now, please help me with it". I pointed at the Ankara on the bed.
"Ok ladies, how about this head tie does it fit me? I really don't know how to tie it that much". Wajdan said checking the mirror.
"Yeah, it really does, I don't even know how to fix mine too". I said walking to the closet to dress up.
"Okay, will be back". Wajdan said and left.
I dressed up and came out to meet the room already occupied with some of the bridesmaids and Wajdan's friends. I greeted them, wore my littlest make_up while Layla helped me with my head tie.
"Wow, you look stunning, you actually look like a typical Arewa lady". One of the bridesmaid called 'Farida' said.
"MashaAllah, thank you". I said and watched myself to a slightly different person in the mirror perhaps the Ankara really fits me, which is a way of dressing that modestly identifies the tradition of Arewa ladies(Northern ladies).
Wajdan sauntered into the room. "Ladies the Groom is here!". She exclaimed and we suddenly heard the ballyhoos of people celebrating downstairs, indicating the knot was tied and Lujaina was now a lawful bride to Zayn.
"Alright lets go". Farida(bridesmaid) said. I took my phone and we headed downstairs to meet plenitude of people welcoming the newly wedded Groom.
"Layla, Ikhbal lets go and bring the bride". Wajdan said and we followed her to Lujaina's room. I was astonished the moment I saw her, she was dressed in a beautiful white glittery gown which befitted her figure, with a make_up that perfectly aligned her face and fair complexion. She was standing in front of the full length mirror obviously admiring herself with her mom(Aunty Salma) beside her, and some of the relatives also in the room.
"Wow Lujaina you look beautiful and.. Very bride_ish". I said.
She blushed "Thank you".
"Okay, you should take her downstairs". She prayed for Lujaina with both of them in tears, hence we had to fixed Lujaina's make_up, then she pecked her forehead and covered her face with her veil.
I and layla held the tail of her lengthy bridal gown while Wajdan held her hand while we majestically walked her to the stairs and the moment we reached the last stair, the excitable groom smilingly extended his hand for his bride and she held, which people started praying happily to the newly wedded couples while the photographers were at every corner capturing every moment of the couples.
The couples went to the parents of the groom and bride for prayers and blessings which was an emotional moment for Lujaina and her mom, while they also got their blessings from Anna too with a long preach and advice from her, the groom parents and the bride parents.
