Khalil's POV.
I felt a pang of disappointment, as she sat across me looking anywhere but me. I was sure that at the moment I have shattered the friendship steps I've created with her, hence what she ever looked at me was her friend but I had risk breaking that.
I quietly stood up which she reluctantly followed behind me, as I paid the bills, we walked to the car. The drive to her house was one heck of a quiet and awkward moment because all she did was propped her face to her side window watching the road and not giving me a second glance.
"Ikhbal I...". I started when I parked at her gate.
"Goodnight". She whispered and hastily walked into the house whilst I just sat there watching her walked away with a glimpse of heart sore. A moment before I drove off, the gate swung open to a man watching my car which seemed to be her Dad, perhaps I had never met him before likewise I didn't thought of meeting him at this wholly wrong time.
I swiftly strode to where he was standing, obviously waiting for me. "Sallam Alaikum.Peace be upon you". I greeted, squatting down a bit whilst I was wallowing in nervousness as to why he came out to meet me.
"Wa'alaikumus Sallam. Peace be upon you too, get up". He said whilst I did, getting skeptical look from him. "I hope you know that I'm Ikhbal's Father".
"Yes sir". I voiced out, feeling uneasy as to how adamant his tone was.
"And I hope you know that, your friendly gestures towards my daughter isn't for my liking, because I know you are not just pursuing friendship with her". His statement rendered me speechless. "So, every relationship you are trying to pursue with a lady, its advisable to console her parent first".
I cleared my throat. "I.. I really don't have any negative intention against her, and I.. I really like her, not just as a friend but if she could be could be my wife someday".
He looked surprised by my out burst. "I will not decide that to her unless if she likes you too, so I will see to asking her if she feels the same for you".
I looked up at him stunned at his statement. Did he just accept me or is this all a dream? Because this will likely be my best dream of all time. "Okay sir... Thank you so much". I squatted.
"You look familiar by the way, do you work with any architectural company?". He asked.
"Yes sir, that will be I.K company".
His eyes widened with realization. "Yeah, you are the company's CEO if I'm not mistaken".
I scratched my nape. "Yes sir".
"That's good to hear, but nevertheless I won't accept your proposal unless she does". He reminded.
I smiled. "InshaAllah, thank you so much sir". I bade him goodnight, hopped in my car and drove home feeling restful with what I encountered.

I parked at the parking lots, engulfed with joy that my deeming hope of marrying Ikhbal someday was now brightening gradually. The hope that she would accept me as her spouse, hence I tend to have feelings for her the first time I met her, which I always concealed with friendship but my heart doesn't conjoined to that.
My dream was to always live with her blossom self forever, angel in a human form, her bright smile that always captivated me, her blue bright eyes full of life, her melodious voice that tuned into my lullaby, because she was the typical description of beauty.
I shrugged the thought off and hopped out of my car. "Sallam alaikum.Peace be upon you". I said entering the house but was answered by eyes more than usual. I greeted my dad and mom sitting side to side, Aisha's parents, with A'isha herself sitting adjacent them.
I excused myself to my chamber, with dubious thoughts as to why they were all here. I entered my bathroom washed my face, changed into jeans and shirt and was trying to engaged myself with my laptop when I heard a knock on my door. I swiftly stood up to the door and opened it meeting my mom, which was anomaly because she didn't usual visit, hence I always meet her at her chamber.
I held the door for her to enter. "What happened mom?".
She stood beside me. "Can we see you downstairs?".
I tilted my head. "Why am I needed downstairs mom?".
She looked at me with the don't_question_me_ look and I knew better not to ask more questions. "Will be waiting for you okay?". She smiled and left.
I stood there in thought of why they needed me, but I shrugged off and exited the room to downstairs. My presence seemed to quiet the living room whilst I sat adjacent to my dad on the rug.
My dad cleared his throat. "Khalil you know why we want to talk to you right?". He asked whilst I looked at him confused and shook my head. He looked at my mom whilst she shrugged and he fixed his sitting position. "You know every Father's dream is to see his son married, not only because you are old enough but that is my responsibility oath to fulfill". He paused confusing me more. "So Khalil talking about marriage we come to conclusion of talking with you on it, because we can't keep watching our bachelor son getting older without the intention of getting married".
My mom started. "Khalil you know your mom's life long dream is to have grandchildren and that wouldn't be possible without you giving me a daughter in_law". She stated.
I looked at her blankly as to why she was saying all this and strangely in front of A'isha and her parent. I turned to A'isha questionably whilst she shrugged as she had no idea.
"You know the Daura Family has been our Family friend for ages, even before you children were born and that tend to relic a bond we will never want to evanesce but prosper, hence they had always been of greatest coadjutors to my company and your own I.K company". My dad stated referring to Aisha's Family. Perhaps A'isha's Father was My dad's company assistant, however to my company, he has been one of my frontal punter. "Our dream is to always see that our relationship is more than just Family friends but more". He added.
"Khalil the reason we all sit here is that, we all noticed your relationship with my daughter A'isha is more than what we call friendship, so we would like to witness that into a marriage union". A'isha's Father interjected whilst both I and A'isha swiftly turned to him.
"What?!". We both said in unison and A'isha glanced at me.
"A'isha, Khalil's mom and I, assimilated that you and Khalil like each other and we want to witness that to evolves into you two being couples". Aisha's mother stated.
"Khalil, we want you to marry A'isha". My mom added rendering me motionless.
