"What?! Are you serious?" I asked with a high voice and stood up just like how I would after hearing a shocking news.

The guy, I mean Darius, gestured me to sit down and I slowly descend to the seat. My mouth was still open and my eyes can pop out of its socket right now.

"Is it that surprising? I thought you saw me that day?" he asked as he sipped on the tea he ordered.

"You...you were that guy?" I asked as I remember that one party where I just blacked out.

"It's Darius, Miss Aronson. I'm the guy who helped you." he said and I blinked for a lot of times.

As I look at him, a sudden realization popped out. Then that must also mean...

"Is the house yours? The one I woke up in? That mansion that was so dark and gloomy?" I asked as the image of the mansion reappeared inside my head.

"That's my house, Miss Aronson. Any more questions? I'll answer them with all my might." he said and flashed a super charming smile.

When he told me to ask more, I couldn't help but think about that one thing. I woke up fully dressed but you just won't really know. If I ask about it, I'll be able to remove the weight that was bothering me. But it will be too embarassing to ask.

"You seem to have one more question. Fire away, Miss Aronson." he encouraged so I inhaled a deep breath before looking at him.

"Did we...did we..." I was so nervous while asking that I couldn't help but to trail off.

"Did we what? Miss Aronson? Sleep together?" he spouted like it was just nonsense.

My eyes bawled because of his confidence in uttering such mortifying topic. Having confidence is great but not this much confidence.

"How can you say that out loud? What if people hear you?" I frantically asked and was basically panicking.

"What's wrong with it, Miss Aronson? We're both adults. I'm a grown man and you're a lady. What's wrong with us being in that situation?" he defended and I was left in shock.

"Does that mean we...?" I didn't finished the sentence to wait for his answer.

"No. We didn't sleep together if that is your concern." he finally reiterated that made me so relieve.

I have never been this relieved for all my life.

"That's nice to hear." I said and blew out an exasperated sigh.

I sank slowly to my seat. I haven't been moving much but I feel so tired. Maybe it's from all the trouble.

As I was rejoicing from the good news I heard, I felt a strange and sudden pain in my stomach again. I flinched and groaned before crouching and cupping my stomach. Why is it hurting again? It's the same pain I felt from back at the party.

"Ah!" I shouted out of pain and gripped my stomach harder as the excruciating pain intensifies.

"Miss Aronson? Are you okay?" Mister Darius asked and went to my side to look at me.

He held my face and made me face him. His eyebrows met and I heard him curse before standing up. He quickly pulled me up and carried me to his car before driving so fast.

Just like the last time, I also fainted from the pain. By the time I opened my eyes, the same room welcomed me. I'm probably by Mister Darius's mansion. I stood up and checked if the pain was still present. Surprisingly, I seemed to be more fine now. It doesn't even feel like I was in pain awhile ago.

I went out of the room and was surprised to see the hallway lit up. The lights were on and I was able to see the mansion in a brighter mode now. The intricate designs of the walls and the ceiling was more noticeable now that the lights were on. I walked down the grand staircase just to see Mister Darius by the kitchen.

"What are you going to do with it then? Tell her Darius." a woman's voice registered to my ears.

Is it Mister Darius's girlfriend? Oh my goodness, I don't want to cause trouble. Should I flee and run away again?

"I don't know Darla. I'll find the answer soon and I'll also tell her soon." Mister Darius's voice followed.

"What soon? You should tell her now. Don't prolong the inevitable. She will know in one way of another. It's your choice." the woman's voice, which Mr. Darius called Darla, said.

"Okay, I'll tell her today. Don't butt in, okay? I don't want to---" Mister Darius stopped amidst his sentence when his eyes caught mine.

He instantly smiled when he saw me looking at him. I continued walking down the staircase to greet him and maybe go home now. The sun's setting as I can see from the windows.

"You're awake. Did you rest well?" he asked and walked out of the kitchen to accommodate me.

"I'm fine, Mister Darius." I said and was surprised when the woman suddenly emerged from the kitchen.

Her intimidating eyes landed on me and she glows as the chandelier's light hits her. Her jet-black hair was bouncing as she walks to our direction.

"Hi! Glad you're finally awake. I'm Darla! Nice to meet you." unlike her aura, she sounded more cheerful and friendly.

I accepted her hand and my eyebrows met each other when our hands met. Why is she so cold? Is it the air conditioner that's making her so cold? Her hands felt like just how an ice cube. It was super cold.

"Hi, I'm Sydney. Nice to meet you too." I replied and she gave me a very sweet smile.

"Before you even think of anything funny, Miss Aronson. She's my big sister." Mister Darius elaborated and I laughed awkwardly as he was right that I was thinking something funny again.

"Sister? You two don't look like each other. I can never tell that you two are siblings." I honestly voiced out my opinion.

It was true. They look nothing alike. Mister Darius and Miss Darla looks so different but they have one thing in common. They both scream rich vibes. Miss Darla also has that aura that tells me she is rich.

"If it isn't much trouble, you should stay for dinner. Darius is cooking for us." Miss Darla offered but I was quick to decline.

"Oh, I cannot do that Miss Darla. I need to get home by now and----" I was going to present excuses to miss the dinner when Miss Darla cut me off.

"Miss Darla? You sounded too formal! You can just call me Darla or anything you want." she corrected and I laughed awkwardly again.

"Of course Darla. Of course." I replied and she abruptly clung into my arms and smiled like a dog.

"Does that mean you are saying yes to the dinner? Let's go to the dining room to wait for the food. You'll love it." Darla said and immediately dragged me off to somewhere.

I guess there is no escaping this anymore?
