Chapter Two

The Angel-like Prince

It was the day after last night's event and I am fixing my things in my room. Apparently, I have to transfer to the other floor where the Queen and King should stay.

We will be staying in one room but we also have our separate room less the bed. Wala kasing bed sa solo room namin kaya mappilitan kaming magsama sa isang kwarto.

I actually don't mind sleeping with him. Just sleep. I'm not yet ready to have a kid or to even do it with Sean. We just met, please. I don't know anything about him except that he is from the South Clan and they were triplets with the same face.

I specifically told them not to disturb me when I'm cleaning up because I don't want to be distracted.

"What is it?" Sagot ko habang nakaupo parin sa sahig.

If it's the Queen, I'll be dead. She really hates it when I am not living like Royalty. I mean, what is wrong with sitting on the floor? What is wrong with wearing shorts? I really don't understand Mom at all.

"It's me, Aivie."

I smiled. "Come inside," I said.

Aivie slowly entered my room and she was roaming around, trying to find when I raised my hand to catch her attention.

"Ah, you're preparing..."

I nodded and fixed the books in a box. "Yes, I need to transfer these upstairs before the end of the month," I answered and stopped to look at her. "Where were you last night anyway?"

She pursued her lips. "I was there and I saw you with him. He looked nice, Ate Blaire!"

"He looked like an angel, right? Masyadong maamo ang mukha niya, Vie. Pakiramdam ko hindi pwedeng magkamali kapag kasama siya." It's true. He has an angelic face kahit na triplets sila, iba yung pakiramdam kapag kasama mo siya.

We were just standing on the side yet I can already feel our difference. He was polite, always bowing his head whenever people notice his presence. People flock around him kaya hindi na niya kailangan magikot-ikot.

And I was there, looking stupid while standing beside him.

I am just not fond of people I just met.

"They were triplets, right? How could you say that he has an angelic face? Hindi ba pare-parehas lang naman sila ng mukha?" Litong tanong sa akin ni Vie.

I fixed my position in the Indian seat and enumerated what I noticed last night. "They have the same face but different features? I guess it's his eyes. He has soft eyes, Aivie."

Vie nodded. "Have you tried striking a conversation with him?"

Natawa ako bago umiling. "Why would I make the first move? He should do that, not me."

"Why not you?"

"Because I'm a woman?"

Vie slowly nodded. "What's with being a woman and first move?"

I released a sigh. "Vie, are we seriously debating this one?"

"No... I was just wondering because of the assignment of gender roles. It's just a conversation yet you make it a big deal on who's going to initiate the conversation."
