Chapter Sixteen

The East.

"I want to kiss you..." He said in a husky voice and eyes that drowns me. Hindi ko magawang iiwas ang tingin ko sa kaniya. His stare makes me want to stare at him all day long. 

When his hands kept caressing my face alam kong pinipigilan niya ang sarili niya na gawin ang gusto niya. With courage, I asked him him softly. "What's stopping you, then?"

"But I haven't washed up yet. You smell so good and look so beautiful, I don't want to put any dirt on you," he said with a drowning stare. No matter how much I try to evade his eyes, I always end up staring at them.

I side-glanced at his hand on my face. "But you're holding me." Doon ko din nakita ang nakayukong attendant ko na parang inaantay ako. But how could I leave when Sean is being like this?

"Can't help," he muttered kaya napabalik ang tingin ko sa kaniya.

Nagulat ako nang yumuko siya bigla sa balikat ko at nararamdaman ko na lang ang malambot niyang labi sa leeg ko. He stayed there, inhaling my scent. "Fuck," he whispered but I heard him.

Matapos non ay lumayo siya sa akin sumandal na ulit sa headboard. Then he nodded at me na parang alam niya na kailangan ko na umalis kaya tumayo na ako.

"See you later, my King," I said and stood from the bed para makaalis na. On our way to the destination, paulit ulit bumabalik ang isip ko kay Sean. He should be with me... hindi ko alam kung dapat ko bang panindigan ang reason ni Sean o gumawa ng mas valid reason.

Butler opened the door for me at doon ko lang napansin na nakarating na kami. I slowly rose from my seat and stepped out of the car. Sumalubong sa akin ang nakahilerang mga attendant at butler ng East Clan. 

Since I am wearing a dress, hindi ko na kailangan magtaas pa ng damit para sa pag-akyat sa kanilang hagdan. I made sure my steps were precise dahil ayokong gumawa ng eksena o mapahiya sa lahat. 

Nang makarating sa pinto ay agad nila akong pinagbuksan, their ground floor were full packed of visitors na nakatayo. It's the concept of the event na huwag maglagay ng table and chairs. The place has gold and black theme, from the chairs to ceiling. 

Bago pa ako makalakad ay sinalubong na ako ni Cean. He was grinning at me but it looked fake. "Queen Blaire, you came," sabi niya at bahagyang yumuko sa akin.

Nakakahiya pero yumuko na lang din ako sa kaniya. Nang magtama ang mata namin ay halata ko na may hinahanap siya. Umiling ako sa kaniya, akala ko magtatanong siya pero buntong hininga ang sagot niya sa akin.

"It's expected, Blaire. I was just hoping Sean would come for his nephew, kahit iyong bata lang sana. Anyway, let's go, Mom and Dad were waiting." Sumunod ako sa kaniya nang maglakad siya papasok. People stared at me but they stopped when they saw that the person in front of me was Cean Rael. 

"Your Majesties, Queen Blaire of the West has arrived."

Tumayo ang reyna at pinakuha sa attendant ang bitbit nitong sanggol. "Blaire, dear! You came... alone. Where is Zel?" 

I bit my lip and shook my head. "He has prior appointments... that he can't cancel, Your Majesty." 

The Queen nodded. Then the King went beside her kaya yumuko ako para gumalang. Tumango lang siya sa akin at tulad nila Cean, kalmado nilang tinanggap na hindi ko kasama ang anak nila.

"You don't have to reason out for him, Blaire. We know why he isn't here... it's not a secret anymore."

I didn't know the reason behind Sean's absence. Hindi ko masabi dahil baka iba ang sabihin nila sa akin. I'm afraid to hear disappointment from them. Cean noticed the obvious confusion in my face kaya nagsalita siya bigla.

"Even though he is harboring hatred towards Rance, this is his nephew's first birthday," Cean subtly gave me the gist of the situation.

Sean is having a feud with his family? He is capable of harboring negative emotion? This new information shocked me, alright. Sean is like someone that can't even bring out that kind of emotion. Am I wrong with my impression of him?

"Oh please, Rael. Don't speak as if you aren't on the same side as Zel. You are worse than him. At least Zel openly shows his hatred towards his brother while you... pretending to be nice and all. Can't you patch things up with Rance, Rael?"

Cean automatically raised his hand as a sign of surrender. "I'm out of here. My apologies, Your Majesty, but I have to excuse myself."

Mabilis na nawala sa paningin ko si Cean at naiwan ako sa harap ng magulang ng asawa ko. The Queen warmly smiled at me and led me towards the little prince. He looked like little Sean! Natutop ko ang bibig ko sa gulat.

"He's so adorable..." Nilapit ko ang daliri ko sa kaniya at mabilis naman nito kinuha iyon at kinapitan. 

"Hanggang ngayon ba wala kayong balak ni Zel magkaron ng anak? You look so fond of kids," Queen said habang nakatingin din sa bata. 

"Your -"

"Just call me, Mom. It's not like we are in a court."

Huminga ako nang malalim bago nagsalita. "Mom, it's not that. We have a plan... but not anytime soon. We are still in the stage of building our foundation."

"RIght," the Queen nodded. "I am not pressuring you because Rance has already a prince. It's just it will be a shame if you won't be able to express your liking to a child freely."

"I understand, Mom. But being fond of children and taking responsibility for them are two distinct things. Not because I like a kid, I would decide to make one. Having a baby is more than that... it's a responsibility that a person should take wholeheartedly."

"I like how you think, Blaire. Just suitable to become a Queen."

"Mom, please," pakiramdam ko namumula na ako sa hiya.

Natawa sa akin ang reyna at tinapik ang hari sa tabi niya. "Love, look. She's blushing."

"Because you kept on teasing her," King replied. 

Dahil wala akong gaanong kilala dito ay sinamahan ako ng mag-asawa habang tinitignan ang batang mahimbing na natutulog. Zean and his wife would at time sit with us pero mabilis din silang tumatayo dahil sa mga bumabati dito.

When I felt tired, nagpaalim din ako sa kanila para umuwi. Gusto ko din sana magpaalam sa sanggol pero pinapainom daw ito ng asawa ni Zean kaya hindi na ako nag-abala. Pagkauwi ay mabilis akong naligo at nagpalit. I just want to lay down and close my eyes.

But I'm unlucky because I can't sleep. My mind is still awake and alive kaya hindi ako makatulog. 

"Can't sleep?"

Tumango ako kay Sean na kakapasok lang sa kwarto. Nandon kasi siya sa library pagkauwi ko kaya hindi ko inistorbo sa pagbabasa. Naupo ako sa kama at pinagmasdan siyang tanggalin ang reading glass niya para ilapag sa table sa gilid ng kama.

I watched him as he sat beside me pero pinatagilid niya ako at naramdaman ko na lang na minamasahe niya ang balikat ko. "This will help you relax."

Because of what he is doing, I unintentionally moaned. It just feel so good! Naramamdam ko na huminto siya sa paggalaw kaya humarap ako sa kaniya para malaman kung anong dahilan.

I was frozen in my place but I felt like melting because of his stare. 

Because of his eyes... it's burning with desire.
