Chapter Seventeen
Disappearance.
I smiled inwardly when I felt Sean's lips on my forehead. Then his hands on my cheeks. Tahimik din niya akong tinapik-tapik matapos ayusin ang kumot sa katawan ko.
That's how I fell asleep, with him beside me and our bodies under one blanket.
Nang magising ako kinabukasan ay wala na sa tabi ko si Sean. I tried to feel his body next to mine pero wala akong makapa kaya binuksan ko na ang mata ko.
Where is he?
Napasimangot ako pero nang maalala ang nangyari kagabi ay hindi ko mapigilan ngumiti. That was the best night of my life - to trust my body to Sean.
I sat on bed and made sure to cover my top with the blanket bago sinuklay ang buhok. Then I went straight to the bathroom to freshen up. Pagkaharap ko sa salamin doon ko napansin ang mga pulang marka sa katawan kaya napailing na lang ako.
After taking a bath, I wore a simple spaghetti strap jumpsuit in mustard color. Then partnered it with black pumps.
Attendants immediately went to my aid the moment I opened the door. "Have you seen the King?" I asked.
"No, Your Majesty. I was notified that he left at dawn." I stopped walking and faced her.
"At dawn?" Tumango naman ito.
Bakit siya bigla aalis? Did something happen? Perhaps to their clan kaya nagawa niyang umalis nang ganoon kaaga?
"Did you hear anything about the South Clan?" Iyon lang kasi ang naiisip kong rason bakit siya umalis ng oras na iyon.
The attendant shook her head. "Nothing, Your Majesty. I just heard he left in a hurry. No one knew the reason behind the rush."
How peculiar. I know Sean is soft hearted from the beginning kaya madami ang pwedeng maging dahilan pero... there's something off about this.
Hindi ko matukoy pero iba ang pakiramdam ko ngayon. His sudden leave is so strange.
Tumuloy ako sa paglalakad na dala ang isipin na ito. I looked composed on the outside pero hindi talaga mapakali sa nangyayari ngayon.
"Notify me immediately if there's a news," I ordered.
Since the King is not present, I'll be the one to handle all the work. I don't mind dahil ito naman talaga ang gawain ko na. Pero Sean's mind is different from mine, baka may maiba ako sa plano niya.
I read the reports and it's so... Sean. Like you can instantly know that it was solely Sean's decision.
I stopped reading when the door of the library opened and Kuya Vinde rushed towards my table. Napakunot ang noo ko sa itsura niya ngayon.
He looked... devastated and stressed. Hindi ko alam kung anong mas matimbang pero nagtatalo iyon.
Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo para salubungin siya.
"Blaire."
I didn't answer and waited for what he is going to say. I tried to calm down kahit na mas pinapakaba ako ng katahimikan niya.
"I received a report that Sean is missing?" Tumango ako sa kaniya. "How did it happen at the same time..." he whispered his wonder.
