He intrigues me.

How he can easily decide to come over after a call from my mother? How he can easily bow down his head when we were the ones asking for a favor from him? How he can easily throw everything away just to fulfill his obligations?

It also made me wonder. Why am I not like him? Sure, I make sure to fulfill my duties and obligations but this man... I don't know if this is him being a Prince but he really has a high regard in his position.

I watched him from the moment he entered the room and bowed down his head to my parents. How he kissed my Mother's hand and how he took my father's hand for a handshake.

He is wearing a dashing gray long sleeves polo tucked under his black slacks. He isn't wearing any necktie or coat, just his polo.

His hair is also messy, probably because of the wind outside. And there it is, the angel eyes.

Maamo ang tingin niya sa mga magulang ko. When he transferred his gaze to him, he gave me a small smile and bowed down his head. Then he sat on the seat beside me, kung saan tinuro ng magulang ko.

He wasn't stiff or whatever. His position was slightly facing my father kaya mejo nakatagilid siya. His left arm is placed on his knee and his other is placed on the armrest, touching my elbow.

My Mother smirked when she noticed how tense I am. Hindi ko rin naman alam kung bakit. I am a confident woman, damn it.

"So, Sean," I took a deep breath when my mother spoke. "I hope you had a smooth travel on your way here?"

"I had, Your Majesty. I was actually flustered when I received your invitation, the reason I had no chance to prepare anything. My apologies."

My Mother dismissively waved her hand. "You don't have to, Sean! Goodness! This is just a visitation, no need for formal gifts."

Sean smiled and looked at me. I instantly straightened my position. "Should I ask for a cup of tea for you? Or do you want something else?" Mahina kong tanong, nahihiya parin.

I was waiting for his response but he just shook his head. "I'm fine, thank you for your offer though."

Tumango na lang ako at tumingin sa harap. Mama was watching it like a hawk while sipping on her tea. Mukhang nag-iisip kung ano pa ang ipapagawa kay Sean, not that she's allowed to order him to do labor work!

That will be a scandal, for sure!

"Ah, I almost forgot," biglang sabi ni Mama at ibinaba ang tasa sa lamesa. "Blaire," tawag niya at napatingin ako sa kaniya.

"Why don't you show Sean the room where you two will be staying?" It was actually a subtle order for me to show him around and make a connection with him.

I smiled and clasped my hand together before facing Sean. "Shall we?"

Tumango siya at tumayo. He held out his hand for me which I awkwardly took. Tahimik kaming lumabas matapos magpaalam.

I can feel the eyes of the people in every corner but I ignored them. Since the library is on the first floor, dumiretso kami sa hagdan na katabi lamang nito.

All that... while holding on to him.

Hindi niya ako binibitiwan. Kaya hinayaan ko na lang, after all, he will be my husband.

"Ah, this is my sister's floor. Should I show you around?" I asked when we reached the second floor.

"No, thank you. The next floor belongs to you then?"
