"She's currently experiencing retrograde amnesia because of the head injury that she got." anang doktor.

Nanatili lamang akong nakaupo sa hospital bed at bahagyang nakayuko. I'm familiar with hospitals and doctors but I'm not familiar with this place and the people around me.

"You mean, there's still a possibility that she can still remember her past memories, Doc?" The guy who found me on the shore asked.

Matapos niya akong makita sa dalampasigan kanina ay agad niya akong dinala rito sa ospital dahil sa natamo kong sugat sa ulo. Kahit anong tanong niya sa akin ay hindi ko masagot dahil maski ako ay hindi ko rin alam.

I don't know who I am even my name. I don't know where do I live nor who are my family. I feel like I'm a newborn child who knows nothing yet in this world. Even how much I tried to remember everything, my head will just hurt at the end.

Huminga ng malalim ang doktor at sinulyapan ako bago muling ibinalik ang paningin sa lalaking kaharap na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko pa rin alam ang pangalan.

"It depends on the person, Mr. Dela Merced. If she can see a glimpse of her memories as the time passes by, then, that's good. But there are also people who can't remember their past anymore and just decided to make a new memories." Seryosong ani doktor.

Tumango-tango ang lalaking kaharap nito at tumingin sa aking direksyon tsaka ngumiti sa'kin. I remained looking at him with a blank expression because honestly, I don't want to trust other people that I don't know that much.

Nagpasalamat siya sa doktor matapos ang pagpapagamot sa akin. May bendang nakapalibot sa aking ulo dahil sa sugat na natamo ko sa hindi malamang dahilan. Aside from the fact that I can't remember anything not even a single thing, I also don't know my name.

"Are you alright? You look like you're deep in thought," He said as we walked outside the hospital and went to the parking lot.

"I'm sorry. Hindi lang ako kumportable lalo pa't hindi kita kilala..." Napayuko ako at pinaglaruan ang aking mga daliri.

Napahinto siya sa paglalakad at narinig ko ang bahagya niyang pagtawa dahilan para muli akong mapabalik ng tingin sa kan'ya.

"Why are you laughing? Is there something funny?" Kumunot ang aking noo habang tinititigan ang kan'yang maamo at gwapong mukha.

He shook his head as he flashed a smile again.

"Nothing." He paused. "By the way, I'm Enoch Dela Merced. Nice to meet you." Inilahad pa niya ang kan'yang kamay sa aking harapan na hindi ko alam kung dapat ko bang tanggapin o hayaan nalang.

I decided to accept his hand. Kahit papaano ay may utang na loob pa rin ako sa kan'ya dahil dinala niya ako sa ospital matapos akong matagpuan sa dalampasigan.

"Since you don't know your name, I'll let Dein create one for you when we get home. Let's go?" aniya at nagtungo sa isang magarang kotse na nakaparada sa parking lot.

Sumunod ako sa kan'ya at pinagbuksan niya ako ng pintuan sa passenger seat. Umikot ito at naupo sa driver's seat bago pinaandar ang makina at minaniubra ito paalis doon.

While we are in the middle of the ride, I could feel awkwardness creeping inside my whole being.

"Can... Can I turn on the stereo?" I hesitantly asked while he's busy driving. 

He glanced on my way and immediately nodded his head.

"Sure, sure. No problem." aniya kaya naman nagpasalamat ako at binuksan 'yon.
