Hindi ko alam kung pang-ilang beses ko na bang pang-buntong hininga ito. Kanina ko parin tinatapik-tapik ang ballpen na hawak ko sa lamesa. I could also hear Sariah's unfiltered mouth outside my office.

"Naku, Sir Adonis, hindi talaga lalabas iyang si Yana! Mas mabuti pa ay umalis nalang po kayo," ani Sariah.

"No, I'll stay here." Adonis replied, firmly. "But, can you give this to her?"

Umarko pataas ang kilay ko. Ano namang gusto niyang ibigay sa'kin? Hindi na uubra ang mga bulaklak at tsokolate na ipinadala niya rito sa clinic ko!

I massaged my temple because of building up irritation in my system. Naiirita na naman ako dahil halos mapuno na ng bulaklak ang clinic ko at hindi ako natutuwa! Noong nakaraang araw ay nagpa-deliver ito ng mga bulaklak na nakalagay pa sa basket at sa address ng clinic pinadala.

I could still remember my horror the moment I saw him guiding the delivery man inside my goddamn clinic.

"Anong pakulo na naman 'yan, Fortalejo?" Nakapamaywang kong tanong nang makalabas ako ng aking opisina dahil naririnig ko ang mga tili ni Sariah at hagikgik ni Kaye.

"Flowers for the most beautiful woman I've ever seen..." He flashed his infamous smile but it doesn't even affect the hell out of me. Mas lumala lang ang pagkairita ko sa kan'ya!

"Ginagago mo ba 'ko? Hindi ba't sinabi ko sa'yong tigilan mo na ang kahibangan mo?!" Matalim na tingin ang ipinukol ko sa kan'ya ngunit tila ba patay-malisya ang walang hiya.

"Just put it right there, man. Right... Thank you." anito habang kinakausap ang delivery man.

Nang makalabas ang delivery man ay humarap siya sa akin na may ngisi sa mga labi. Pakiramdam ko ay sasabog na ako sa sobrang inis. I don't know what to do with him anymore! Kung umasta siya ay parang hindi siya nagkasakit ng malala at ngayon ay balik na naman sa pambubugaw!

"So, uh, I bought you some flowers?" He scratched his nape. "This one..." He grabbed the basket of flower. They revolves in the hue of purple, white blue and pink and they're kind of thin.

"This is a lavender flower... a stunning flowering herb that produces beautiful blossoms in hues of pink, white blue and purple and tends to have a peaceful effect on its surrounding," He paused. "Lavender is believed to bring peace and harmony to the interactions between loved ones and is regarded as a symbol of love, happiness, devotion and protection..."

I shot up my brow. "So? Anong pakialam ko?"

He licked his lips as his dark and intense eyes bore on mine. "I just wanted you to know that I'd never loved anyone so much more than I love you, Llantina..."

I heard series of gasps and muffled squeals from Kaye and Sariah. Nagpanting ang tenga ko at agad siyang dinuro.

"You know what? I don't care about your feelings, okay? Just leave me alone!" I said and I was about to turn my back and leave them but he grabbed another basket of flowers and spoke.

"These are Violets..." He gasped. "They are honoured as the pure representation of peace, healing and tranquillity. According to culture in Rome, these flowers are believed to bring peace in the afterlives of the ones who are no mor—"

Nagngingitngit ang ngipin ko sa inis nang magsalita. "Gago ka ba? Mukha ba akong patay, ha?!"

His mouth gaped open because of my sudden outburst. Mabilis din namang siyang nakabawi at ngumisi.

"Oo, patay na patay ka sa'kin."

He turned to grab another basket of flowers and just as usual, he begin to litany a lot of information about that goddamn flower!
